Discussion: Chaffetz: I Like A Lot Of What Trump Says, Except His 'Over-The-Top' Ideas

Gotta love these guys that want to ‘get something done’ after holding up legislation for 7+ years on some pretext or another.

Sometimes, like he said that there should be a religious litmus test on entering the country. I happen to think that’s way over the top, uncalled for — I totally disagree with that.

This is one of those stunning statements that leaves me aghast. He’s discussing this as if it were actually a policy that one might consider. Is it blatantly unconstitutional? Is it completely contrary to the fundamental founding principles of the nation? No, it’s just a little policy disagreement, something that he thinks is “uncalled for.”

Luckily for me, my Mutti (born 1930) and Omi, never ever said anything like that. Not even after an extra glass of Merlot or Lindemann’s…Omi hated those bastards, and Mutti was just bored stiff with them - having to hold her arm out in salute for parades for minutes on end, when she was thinking about running about and missing school because of another parade. Parades and bombings she loved - no school.

I liked the way Euro-fascists made the trains run on time.

Malevolent snake, Chaffetz.

Like other inept pols, he seems to think he’s involved in fantasy politics, check a box, look forward to going on the road with a new game next year, and yet he has no idea that the politician who did no bragging before hand about what he was going to get done and then did a lot of stuff is currently in the WH.

“There’s a sobering moment when we turn in to the new year and people start to think about whether or not they’ll actually check that box, and you know, it starts in Iowa before we know it, and then off to New Hampshire and it’s a whole different game after that,”

From Chaffetz’ facebook page…“I voted to defund the amnesty executive order and convey to the President in no uncertain terms that Congress will not stand by and cede the Constitutional authority entrusted to us by hardworking Americans. His executive amnesty betrays the American people by circumventing the Constitution we in Congress have sworn to uphold.” IOKIYAR

How does one get to be described as worse than “totally negative”?

If there is the possibility of saying it, I’m in.

Otherwise, what you just said will have to do.

…and I think all politicians should be wired to a ‘truth’ meter when speaking… with an LED results on their foreheads .

I have an idea that Chaffetz is positioning himself as a VP Candidate. Why not, it worked so well for $ister $arah.

Wow, it’s actually starting…The GOP mouthbreathers in Congress are actually accepting the fact that Donald Trump is their prohibitive front-runner, and may very well be the Republican nominee. First asshats like Jason Chaffetz warm to Trump, and then the other right wing know-nothings follow along.

Ha! It’s hilarious how Trump and his followers think that approaching the Presidency like a rich, bullying real estate developer will magically “cut through the red tape”! Wait until they tell Trump that Presidents don’t create laws, and that they just have to sit there and sign them into law, or not!

They want somebody who’s gonna blow through the red tape; who actually will get things done in Washington D.C. And to that extent, more power to him."

These disingenuous pukes are afraid to say what they actually like, blathering about red tape and getting “things done,” while never actually mentioning the odious policies they have intend to “get done.”

What? I liked Jeffry Dammer’s ideas except for his proclivity to eat people. I liked Hitler’s ideas except for the pesky problem of genocide. I liked Jim Jones except for his kool-aid…

Every Republican likes a lot of what Rump says. No Republican has a substantially different policy idea from his. They just don’t want to be disliked as egocentric pigs.

But the fact that Rump is an egocentric pig, who feels entitled to be himself because he’s rich, doesn’t make his ideas any less terrible. Talking tactfully will not turn turds to treasures.

Shorter Chaffetz: I’m scared shitless to think who’ll show up to vote in my primary with Trump on the ballot.

Someone forgot to tell this chav that there are no more “down line” prospects to sell his product to :stuck_out_tongue:

Chaffetz, expert on prostitution and prostitution accessories has boldly set out a non-endorsement endorsement of Tronald. Now THERE is a feather in any pols cap.
