I swear there is a point in the video of that event where you can see Trump decide to run. The laughter of the audience was killing him inside. It was like Obama coolly reached out and branded Trumpā€™s forehead with an ā€œOā€, as in ā€œI own you, birther bozo.ā€

@seanmalloy
Thatā€™s pretty much what Obama did to Trump at the event.

No case, unless he was refused for being in one of the classes protected by Federal or state or local anti-discrimination laws. Creeps are not a protected class.

Donā€™t look now, but I think I see a dog that might like you enough to make you unhappy.

Edited to add: I challenge you not to laugh at 1:28. 2:10+ is also funny.

I understand the celebrity chef finds Tramp distasteful and not classy. However, this may be a dumb question. Do owners of public goods and services have that much leeway on who they will or will not serve at their place of business?

Trump: He must be Muslim/Mexican. Rapists/Terrorists donā€™t really like me.
ISIL: We love you.

Just common sense ā€¦ if you owned a restaurant, would you want a Trump rally there? And OMG, what if you had a waitperson or busboy of Mexican descent?

ā€¦and sheepā€¦fear meā€¦

Why do,you assume that everything is for sale? This guy owns his own restaurants. Iā€™d bet he made it without the help from Daddy that Trump got.

Wonder what it is about Trump that creeps him out? Maybe the hairdo? Can you imagine looking down on that thing from on top? Pity his waiters.

A restaurant canā€™t bar anyone based on that person belonging to one or more protected categories. However, being a self-serving, racist, sexist, narcissistic, self-righteous, egomaniacal, duplicitous, thieving, conniving and insufferable con-man is, at this writing, not an officially recognized protected category. So, yah, he can keep Trump out all day long while still maintaining his progressive bond fides.

Yes, restauranteurs have great leeway over who they choose to serve, seriously. They canā€™t discriminate on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc., but they can most definitely throw someone out for any other reason they choose. Drunkenness, combativeness, and excessive orangeness are common reasons.

Trump has a high ā€˜Ickā€™ factor.
I totally get it.
Icky people ruin appetites and Trump could cause mass anorexia.

From the looks of things, Trump could stand to go on a diet.

I know that his doctor said that he wasnā€™t getting enough votes! Boom-Trump slam!

Dude, you are really getting the hang of this.

But youā€™re scaring me!

In addition to the potential riot inside your restaurant, there is the certainty of not getting the full bill paid, the wait staff being abused, and no tips to be seen. Whereā€™s the upside to letting the creep and his entourage eat in your place of business?

Whatever. Itā€™s not like Trump was gonna eat at your restaurant anyways.

He wouldnā€™t be able to afford it.

Who will stand up for the rights of the orange-hued?

I think a damage deposit would definitely be a requirement.

Thereā€™s always McDonalds eh.

Stupid move by Mr. Symon. He will only strengthen Trumps position by denying him service in one of his establishments. It would be better to simply serve Trump like any other customer if he does happen to stop in, just restrict press coverage to prevent a ā€˜photo opā€™.
