Discussion for article #228999
Why should we listen to these guys who protected child molesters for years I hope the Pope kicks their asses
Nothing like “celibate” old men making family decisions. Especially old guys in dresses and red beanies. Their only concern is the money. Whether acknowledging gays and gay marriage will harm their scam. This 1500+ year old scam is beginning to crumble. Especially in the west. In Africa they have the citizens so brainwashed they believe what they say literally. Thus, kill the gays in some countries. It is the Catholic Church in this article but it could be any religion. Being an atheist I don’t need any of them nor do I object to them. Except for not paying the same taxes I do. Especially if they own properties and investments that generate income for the church. Which all do.
It’s going to take a while to clean out the molester protecting, gay and women haters that JPII and Benny spent 30 years installing. They have had long run of holier-than-thou-ness that will need to be scrubbed. Frank has made a start, firing members of the Curia and reassigning others. When he moves Dolan to a remote island somewhere to work with lepers, I’ll be happy.
In the meantime, get a foodtaster, Frank.
An organization that pillories GLBT folks in public and protects and harbors pedophile priests in its own ranks lacks any shred of moral standing in its pronouncements.
“…Christ wanted his church to be a house with the door always open to welcome everyone…”
We done?
Because welcoming gay parishoners into the Church? Well, only if they’re under 15 and it’s after 10 pm.
The facts on the ground and the progress on gay marriage make these papal discussions irrelevant. The church is trying to have it both ways just like it did during the child rape and molestation scandal.
God/Jesus loves everyone , the Catholic church does not .
Maybe it is the Catholic church itself that is “intrinsically disordered.”
Problem with God/Jesus is that they don’t really exist, so their “teachings” are fluid and entirely a product of peoples’ own views and prejudices.
Too close to home?
Hating the lovers and loving the haters seems to be the foundation of any profitable religion.
