“I’m worried about my daughter and grandbaby. I don’t know where they are. You know, that’s hard,” she said, choking back tears."
I’m done having sympathy. Who’d ya vote for? Hmmmm?
Welcome to Whirlwind Reaping 101. Please take a syllabus and be seated.
Many of the residents are poor. How are they suppose to evacuate? One shelter to hold more than 1000 people? Their government has failed them. Their neighbors, near and far, must not.
This is a grinder. Whether wise to go or foolish to stay, hoping the best for them.
Gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis is doing an AMAZING job leading Florida through this hurricane!
Damn. I was just in Pensacola and the area known as FloriBama a few months ago. At least the bend of Florida is less populated than other parts.
Its all a frigg’n HOAX. IT is getting cooler, no global warming. This is just a small breeze that is being wipped up by the MSM to push their globalist anti-coal agenda!
Lets go back to talking about “lock-her up”!!!
This one did me in:
Hargan’s 11-year-old son, Jayden, carried one of the family’s dogs in a laundry basket in one arm and held a skateboard in the other as he waded through calf-high water.
I started to tell my husband and just flat-out broke down weeping. A little boy, hoping to get to safety with his family and saving the most important things. What a stark and touching example of how profoundly public policies impact people’s lives.
“We are in new territory,” National Hurricane Center Meteorologist Dennis Feltgen wrote on Facebook. “The historical record, going back to 1851, finds no Category 4 hurricane ever hitting the Florida panhandle.”
The suffering of the victims of this hurricane is real and awful, but I refuse to depoliticize this. It’s too important. The area getting hit is almost totally deep red. It is very largely populated by voters who cruelly and criminally empower and cheer on the Republican party and its inconceivably evil agenda of destroying the planet, not to mention the future of my children. As far as I’m concerned this is a case of wrongdoers blowing themselves up. Fuck em.
I’m in Jacksonville and the squalls are pretty strong right now. I imagine the main show in the Panhandle is pretty gruesome given what I’m getting 200 miles away.
Most stay. I haven’t evacuated for a hurricane in 20 years and I live on the Florida coast. It may be ill advised but it’s what just about everyone I know does.
The majority of these states may vote Republican, but the majority of people suffering are poor and minority. Part of the reason people don’t evacuate is lack of resources. A large proportion of casualties from Katrina were disabled and/or didn’t have access to transportation.
I have to agree. When you can’t see what is right in front of your face then you get what you get.
Nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.
Hurricanes don’t sharp-shoot. They blow up everybody equally.
Yeah, I can’t pile on and say these folks have it comin’ for how they voted. A case could be made, but I don’t care. Babies don’t vote.
But why couldn’t this thing have zeroed in on Mar A Lago? Wipe that shit stain off the earth.
If it did Dump would just use our money to make it bigger and better…
School’s out. Welcome to the real world. Take care people. We will do what we can to help clean up the mess because that’s what Americans do for one another.
More often than not babies grow up to hold opinions similar to those of their parents.
Eugenics is a highly underrated population tool.
