Discussion: Cassidy Responds To Kimmel: 'More People Will Have Coverage' With My Plan (VIDEO)

Topher Spiro has a Twitter account that contains the new study from Avalere, as well as facts and figures from many other studies.

If TPM would focus on Democratic Talking Points, rather than Republican ones, they would know this stuff.

It would be great if TPM “reporters” would turn off their TVs and go out and do some original reporting, or, at least, start monitoring the Twitter accounts of reputable journalists and report back on their reporting.

Hey Cassidy… stop lying and don’t get Jimmy mad. He’s got a bigger microphone and people like him a lot more.

And why they are rushing to pass it before CBO reports on it.

Cassidy has just made a very fateful mistake (I hope). Challenging Kimmel is not the best idea. He has millions of viewers every night. But more importantly, whatever he says will have a megaphone effect because his comments will be repeated by all the talk and news shows around the country.

All Kimmel needs to do now is challenge Cassidy to “prove it.” Demand that we see what’s in the bill. Keep harping on the bogus process they are going through to get the bill passed. Et cetera, et cetera.

Jimmy summed it up best last night:

Don’t ask him. Demonstrate by specific sections of the bill, explaining (in English) what the bills does. The Democrats don’t need CBO. Use the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities analyses. Put up stuff from all the medical associatios, Republican governors etc. Have the Democrats done any of this? Haven’t seen it.

OK then…SHOW US THE CBO SCORE! Stop trying to ram this through.

If this passes it will be an unmitigated disaster for multiple tens of millions. FAX the bastards and keep faxing.

We need a sustained full-court press here, folks.

Bullshit.

No. More people will NOT have coverage. And, indeed, that’s the point. Cut costs by cutting people with insurance. That’s what it’s all about. Cassidy is a fool or a liar. As far as I am concerned, he can choose which.

I suspect that exposing Cassidy-Graham to sunlight would result in flames and crumbling to dust, like a blood-sucking vampire.

What’s even worse it that the son-of-a-bitch and his wife are physicians. Moreover, he formerly had an altruistic approach to medicine.

In 1998, Cassidy helped found the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic to provide uninsured residents of the greater Baton Rouge area with access to free health care. The Clinic provides low-income families with free dental, medical, mental health and vision care through a “virtual” approach that partners needy patients with doctors who provide care free of charge.[7]

Cassidy has also been involved in setting up the nonprofit Health Centers in Schools, which vaccinates children in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System against Hepatitis B and flu.

What the hell happened to cause him to choose politics over people is anyone’s guess; mine is that he simply became zombified in the Senate and became a textbook Rethugliklan.

Although I am a Californian and not one of his constituents, I am contemplating calling Lindsey Graham’s office and telling his staff that I think he is despicable and that his new blood hair looks stupid.

“those states that have been passed by by ObamaCare”

also known as those Republican legislatures that CHOSE not to extend Medicaid coverage under the ACA and now would be rewarded by getting money taken away from those states that DID extend Medicaid

This guy is truly a dishonest pack of s&&t.

Cassidy: Cruel Obama and his health care, “passing by” states that didn’t vote for him! Those states want good affordable care for all the people, but Obama DENIED them!!

Oh, but we do know. Because it’s basically the same, except a little worse, than the one they scored that they said would cost 23 million people their insurance.

Cassidy is OK with charity, selectively dispensed out of a sense of “noblesse oblige.” After all, health care is not a right, especially not one guaranteed by the State. Rather, it’s a special “gift” from nice privileged people like Cassidy and his wife.

Assholes. That’s the only word I can think of, although I know that they are worse than mere assholes.

You can control alot of people and policies using so-called charity.

Please do: (202) 224-5972

You can also FAX him: Send a fax to Senator Lindsey Graham

Or email him:

And if this bill is so great, how come WY Senator John Borasso repeatedly refused to answer Katy Tur’s simple and pointed question about how it would treat people with pre-existing conditions. Talk about “talking over” a woman…his inability to tell the truth was so clear here Go to about 5:50 to watch the lying and dodging unfold
