Yes, and it’s a strange variant of Kruger Dunning Effect, which deals with self-satisfied people who are both unskilled and arrogant. The doctor is bright is also talented in atracting teahadder attention to himself, but in mainstream politics he is hopelessly unskiled and clueless. Unfortunately for him, he can’t win a presidential election without appealling to a good number of mainstream voters.
