Discussion: Carson On Pyramid Theory: 'Secular Progressives' Are Welcome To Ridicule

“The secular progressives try to ridicule it any time it comes up and they’re welcome to do that.”

(Eye Roll). Well, gee … how fucking magnanimous of you.

Republican policy is built on facts they can believe. Objective facts have no place in their lexicon.

Whatever happened to Donald Trump ? Ben Carson is getting rather tedious very fast…

“Some people believe in the Bible, like I do, and don’t find that to be silly at all, and believe that God created the Earth and don’t find that to be silly at all.” Carson told reporters in Miami during a stop on his book tour. “The secular progressives try to ridicule it any time it comes up and they’re welcome to do that.”

In case you were wondering why the fastest growing religious affiliation in the U.S. is (wait for it) - “nones”

I just can’t figure out why Tupperware passed up the opportunity for pyramid containers…

Really, you had to go to a quarry to get some granite just to seal 'em.

You know what? I still believe that my Christmas presents are handcrafted by elves from the Arctic.
Whatever, all you losers are welcome to ridicule me if you want…

Is a “secular progressive” someone who knows that things that happened hundreds of years apart aren’t the same? In that case, I guess I am one.

Where in the hell does the bible say the pyramids were granaries? Where are pyramids even mentioned?

"The pyramids were made in a way that they had hermetically sealed compartments. You wouldn’t need hermetically sealed compartments for a sepulcher. You would need that if you were trying to preserve grain for a long period of time,”

You know what else you need to store 7 years worth of grain for an entire country for a long period of time? Enough space to store 7 years worth of grain for an entire country. You know what you don’t need? A ~480 foot structure consisting of roughly 5.9 million tonnes of stone only a tiny fraction of which is actual usable storage space.

Hey Doc, maybe you could point out where the Bible says the pyramids were built as granaries. Or is it just that very special Bible next to the very special Constitution that exists only in your head? Thought so. Back to mocking.

Matt Bevin won this week and a bunch of VA GOP politicians got over on the voting public based on the current governor being ‘infatuated’ with $17 traffic tolls.

What’s your question again?

There’s no way this whole pyramid kerfuffle makes him less popular in polls. He’s running with a party that actively disparages expert consensus and scientific reasoning in favor of expediency. Climate change, pyramids, whatever you want to believe in your heart of hearts is better than any expert’s facts, man.
