. “Obviously, that’s not the issue. The issue is the mentality of these people.”

Yes, but enough about the Republican Presidential wanna-bes … what about gun control?

Crazies will violate traffic laws, so no more speed limits. Crazies will abuse drugs, so abolish drug laws. Crazies will rape women, what good does it do to make rape illegal?

Try to be more helpful, doc. How about requiring notarized recommendations from non-family members as well as a gun safety class that includes a psychological screening test? Know what? I think someone staring down at his toes would serve as a red flag, don’t you? What a GD idiot!!!

How comforting, a neurosurgeon referring to people with mental disorders as “crazies.” Guess they couldn’t hear you talking about them that way while they were anesthetized.

don’t know for a fact but I’d guess that somewhere along the line in his education he would’ve taken a statistics class or two in order to be able to discern whether there might be a statistical anomaly in an illness he might be treating…

having said that… it would be a statistical anomaly if the US had a preponderance of mentally ill people in proportion to the ability to acquire a weapon…

in other words… in Europe or Japan there are either fewer crazy people or the ratio is the same but its much much harder to acquire a weapon…

Hey asshole the “crazies” of which you speak come from your end of the political spectrum…

Has anyone noticed that a/the answer from Republicans is: “that doesn’t/won’t … work”. But it’s never followed by what will?

"Obviously, there are those who are going to be calling for gun control,” Carson told radio host Hugh Hewitt. “Obviously, that’s not the issue. The issue is the mentality of these people.”

Obviously, you have no fucking idea what you’re talking about, Mr. Carson, and should be publicly shamed for such ignorance and pandering. You think Australia and other countries with strict gun control laws have no crazy people? Please, expound on your reasoning with regard to these countries, you festering pile of refuse.

A) You’d have to be crazy to want to be President.
B) One should not take advice from a crazy person.
C) Ben Carson wants to be President.

QED

Laws only work for people who follow laws.

And this is an argument in favor of what? Anarchy? Apathy?

Ben Ben stop sounding like a maroon and start sounding like a brain surgeon. Part of gun control is a thorough background checks which believe it or not may help weed out the crazies. Also the Republicans might want to think about putting some sorely needed dollars into our country’s mental healthcare. But nope that would require the party to actually care.

He is out of his mind folks!.. seriously the dude is deranged!

Democrats have to start calling out the Repugs for what they are: Weak On National Security.

They can prattle on about some stupid ass foreign policy of military intervention in every country we hate or hates us, but if they don’t support sensible gun control in the wake of thousands of senseless and completely avoidable deaths as a result of gun violence, then they aren’t interested in keeping American Safe.

Carson told reporters. “It doesn’t work for crazies.”
So, I guess Carson is saying HE owns a gun then?

“Gun control only works for law-abiding citizens,” Carson told reporters. “It doesn’t work for crazies.”"
A law abiding person typically won’t be shooting anyone, Ben

A brain surgeon should be able to figure out that if a crazy person CANNOT get a gun then he/she CANNOT shoot anyone.

But in this case we have a brain surgeon who just cannot understand that simple fact.

“The issue is the mentality of these people.”
Well no shit. So I guess that means now we can have a dialogue about the paranoia, narcissism, resentment and faux-victim rage that the GOP, NRA and countless other right wing affiliations put so much effort and money into actively encouraging. Right?
Right.
