“I’m in great danger because I challenge the secular progressive movement to the very core…”

Don’t flatter yourself. Secular progressives don’t even know who you are.

Right, because progressives are known for their radical pro-violence, pro-weapon positions.

Sir, secular progressives couldn’t give a flying fuck what you say, just keep talking.

He’s not in danger and I don’t believe he’s been getting threats, either. Is this like the time someone pulled a gun on him but he can’t remember where or when? It’s tempting to think he’s paranod, but it’s something more nefarious than that.

Wonder where he came up with “existential threat?” Not a phrase that rolls off the tongue. Perhaps he remembered reading it somewhere.

The “Existential Threat”

“Existential threat” recently entered the political lexicon, courtesy of Israeli paranoia. The expression sounds portentous, but all it seems to mean is that someone’s or something’s existence is in jeopardy. If so, the world is full of existential threats. But the expression is seldom used to refer to any of them except when the threatened party is Israel. Thus Iran’s still “aspirational” nuclear weapons program or, sometimes Iran itself are existential threats and so is Palestinian “terrorism.” An existential threat makes an excellent casus belli, a justification for war

secular progressives also see you as an existential moron…

not to stereotype type too much but secular progressives also generally don’t believe in violence and also believe in gun control…

re: an earlier piece you also don’t understand political correctness… while you’re a fool and an idiot no one is calling you an oreo or uncle Tom…

He is who ALL secular progressives hope wins the nomination! Hillary would win 20% of the Republicans, this guy scares them.

Well…he’s a liar, too.

Of course he is. He’s stirring up hatred.

Possibly he is, probably he’s not, but to me he simply personifies “stranger danger.”

He’d face more danger walking through a white neighborhood at 2 in the morning.

Carson privately has been expressing exasperation the NSA refuses to install a Z-Ray Shield™ at his residence. Adding insult to injury the food taster provided him is a damned yappy purse dog that keeps shitting on the man-cave carpet.

Full Disclosure: I’m a Made Man in the League of Secular Progressives and the good doctor is right. We in the League are mulling over the existential threat that he presents to us, and our inclination is to explore this issue in greater detail at our next social.

The only threat Ben Carson poses to secular progressives is that he thwarts our efforts to take the Republican party seriously.

"You know, they see me as an existential threat …¨

Well, as a secular progressive, I, for one, agree with him. Imagining this nut job, who has fully imagined conversations with an imaginary guy, having his fingers on very real nuclear weapon launch codes, does strike me as an existential threat.

You know, some of us are fed up with Rita claiming our names mysteriously keep getting deleted from the invitation list software. That damned chicken you serve isn’t any good anyway!!!

He didn’t even mention the existential threat to his family now that “the gays” and their agenda have outlawed Christianity.
