Translation - in order to have people become self-sufficient we must cut aid.

I Want To Leave Government After ā€˜This Term’

Hey Ben! That would not prevent Congress from roasting your ass for your son’s influence peddling.

ā€œI would be interested in returning to the private sector because I think you have just as much influence, maybe more, there"

Years ago The Nation magazine’s Katha Pollit wrote, ā€œSo Reagan has Alzheimer’s. How can you tell?ā€

In that spirit, I’d like to ask: If Dr. ā€œUncleā€ Ben Carson leaves government, how will we know?

Wait…how we will we know you’re gone?

How can we miss him if he’s never really been there?

The Peter principle is a concept in management theory formulated by Laurence J. Peter in which the selection of a candidate for a position is based on the candidate’s performance in their current role, rather than on abilities relevant to the intended role. Thus, employees only stop being promoted once they can no longer perform effectively, and ā€œmanagers rise to the level of their incompetence.ā€

I’m wondering if it has anything to do with this…

Don’t worry the Democratic President will not ask you to stay.

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
ā€˜Relax’ said the night man,
ā€˜We are programmed to receive.
You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!’

That means he’ll outlast Trump.

Best to leave on a high note.

He is high right?

Isn’t this a second-order type ā€˜kiss of death’ (firing) in the era of Trump?

In the first-order, rumors swirl and Trump responds to a question about said official with the ā€œhe’s a great personā€ or ā€œhe’s doing a great jobā€ … usually ousting is within a couple of days - certainly under a week.

This is more like the Kelly style announcement in advance… = months later (give or take) but sometime prior to the stated time - gets ousted. So I am guessing by May/June - (if not sooner) Carson is out and back on the grift-the-religious-right beat.
