Discussion: Carson Camp To Rally Candidates To Confront RNC Over Debate Formats

Discussion for article #242312

I suggest, so that the meeting won’t get out of hand, that some sort of token be passed around and the person holding it might be the one to speak. As for the token - I hear conch shells are popular.

There’s ten of you idiots fighting over the same four, make that, two hours.
Not that there’s any substance anyway, but jeez louise.

Dude(tte)s, as the saying goes: “You can’t FIX stupid.” It is what it is – just accept yourselves for who you are.

“I think the families need to get together here, because these debates as structured by the RNC are not helping the party,” Bennett told the Examiner.

“the families”?? What is this, the fucking Mafia?

That struck me as pretty strange too.

Families like patriotism are the last refuge of scoundrels.

And the green rooms! Don’t forget the green rooms! Too small for the outsized egos to mingle comfortably.

That was pretty obviously the reference he was going for. I’m the last person to defend Republicans, but it was clearly a deliberate witticism, and a reasonably amusing one.

So the campaign manager says:

“There’s not enough time to talk about your plans, there’s no presentation.”

If only there was any other opportunity for a candidate to lay out his or her plans.

Considering how poorly politicians are regarded these days, that’s one of the last things I’d want to put in the public’s mind.

No sense telling the campaigns that the RNC informercials look like cr@p because the candidates are that execrable.

The one thing RNC and CNBC did right was give the toilet/green room to Christie :hankey:]
