Someone in the Carson camp doesn’t understand the word, aide.
Foolishness is the norm from Carson, the question is, does it come from the top down or bottom up?

(Refusing to approve Lynch has nothing to do with Ben Carson, of course.)
Loretta Lynch rejects the Constitution and reality just as rabidly as the Republicans do. She’s just fine with the rapid increases warrantless wiretapping that both big-money parties like, she thinks marijuana belongs on Schedule 1 even though there’s extensive evidence for medical usefulness (both parties think rescheduling it would be politically incorrect), she doesn’t seem to think it’s necessary to provide fair trials for the prisoners Bush illegally had tortured in Gitmo and Obama kept there, or for the torturers themselves.
I hate to ever have to support the Republicans, but some of them are refusing to approve her appointment for good reasons (though others are of course doing it just to be obstructionist, or because she’s black, or because she’s a Democrat.) I wanted to like the woman, because her qualifications looked good on paper, but once she opened her mouth in Congress, I had to change my mind.
The headlines looked like it was Carson’s tweets that this jerk deleted. “Politician’s staffer made obnoxious comments in public, tried to cover it up, got fired” is much less of a story. It’s not like your favorite candidates and parties don’t have people this obnoxious working for them*, though at least most of them have the sense not to get caught.
*Probably even the Greens have one or two…
There are no “good reasons” She has the professional credentials and will be approved by Republicans and Democrats in short order.
