Discussion: Carson: A Muslim Shouldn't Be President Of The United States (VIDEO)

This special brand of hypocrisy that GOPers possess is one of many reasons I detest them so.

ā€œOh, the ZOG is my first priority,ā€ Mr. Carson responded.

Fortunately, America prohibits a religious test as a condition for taking office, and our vast and wide diversity is reflected in our past presidents. Of course we’d welcome a Muslim president, just as we would a Jewish one or one who was Baha’i.

We’ve had 44 presidents to date, and their religious affiliations break down as follows:

Christians - 44

Uh, never mind.

Can you say, ā€œTokenā€ Dr. Ben?

Whoever gets elected should be President. Because that’s how Democracy works. One person doesn’t get to say who should or shouldn’t be President. We The People do. Carson must have missed that little tidbit of information back in 2nd grade.

And he seems to forget that for a majority of U.S. history, people said an African American shouldn’t be President.

I’d like to hear from the rest of the GOP on whether they believe that an atheist or agnostic should have the right to be elected President.

With respect to Carson, it’s irrelevant, though… he’s never going to be President, he’s not going to get the nomination, and is very unlikely to ever hold public office. He’s a vanity candidate, like Santorum, Graham, Pataki, Gilmore, and Jindal, to name just a few of these clowns.

The religious christian / catholic nuts are just as knowledgable of our constitution so whats the difference.

Actually, I’ll quibble with that. A few of our early presidents were Theists and really not Christian. For example, Thomas Jefferson did not believe that Christ was the son of God or anything more than a wise and eloquent philosopher, and produced an edited version of the New Testament with all of the stuff implying the divinity of Christ edited out.

This is a problem for the theocratic revisionists who try to convince people that the country was founded as a Christian republic, and so they sweep it under the rug.

Oh yes, this will get him caucus and primary votes.

QUERY: have the other candidates been asked this question on the Sunday morning shows? If not, when?

Wouldn’t that be: Oppressed Christians - 44?

Clearly, oppression was so intense that they had to claim that they weren’t Christian.

It has been a long struggle for Christians in America. Even today, they lack some of the rights they had hundreds of years ago – hanging witches, for example.

My parents love this dumbbell.

When JFK ran Americans like Carson said JFK should not be president because he would be taking orders from the Pope and the Church in a foreign land. We called them bigots. Kennedy said his personal faith would have zero effect on how he governed secularly because he believed in keeping matters of the Church separate from those of State because otherwise religious strife would ensue.

This was a lesson that has been lost on the Carsons, the Huckabees and most of the GOP of today.

But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution — no problem.

This from a man utterly inconsistent with the Constitution (the real one, that is, not the one that starts with Genesis):

ā€œFirst of all, we have to understand how the Constitution works. The president is required to carry out the laws of the land, the laws of the land come from the legislative branch,ā€ Carson said on Tuesday. ā€œSo if the legislative branch creates a law or changes a law, the executive branch has a responsibly to carry it out. It doesn’t say they have the responsibility to carry out a judicial law. And that’s something we need to talk about.ā€

Funny, that’s how I feel about gop/bags…

Do you believe that Islam is consistent with the Constitution?" Todd asked Carson.

ā€œNo I do not. I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation,ā€ Carson said. ā€œI absolutely would not agree with that.ā€

Be careful here, Dr. Carson. One could easily argue Christianity is inconsistent with the Constitution. I present to you one Kim Davis as just one example.

…and a fauXian shouldn’t either, UncaBen…

All elected officials should be sworn in on the Constitution of the US or their State…
