Yes.
I’m feeling a “Life of Brian” moment coming on.
Funny how without even trying, Republicans and their candidates can manage to alienate one of the few ethnic minority voting blocks who are generally of a more conservative bent.
I can never get over how small-minded, hateful, and just plain old mean most republicans are.
I often wonder how the heck they can hate EVERYONE. But they do - and lately, that even includes the Pope. Carly Fiorina is no different from any of the other republican yahoos when it come to hating. Oh, except she’s a she.
This is the idiot that nearly destroyed HP, effed it up so bad that they fired her and she hasn’t held a real job since. And we are supposed to take anything she says seriously?
Wasn’t she the person that handed the blueprints to the Chinese when she was at HP? Liar and fraud.
Bigoted GOP candidate says what? Hey, Carly- you trying to out Lindsey Lindsey?
I know a fair number of Chinese-American Republicans, and I feel certain that not one of them will vote for Carly Fiorina in the primaries. Also, too, she’s dead wrong. And stupid.
Does anyone including this Ex-CEO believe there are differences between corporations other than the corporate knowledge each has. By off-shoring these azzwipes allow that corporate knowledge to walk out the door. It does not take a genius to understand that in short order you got nothing left that anyone wants. They, Indians, Chinese and others don’t have to steal anything we hand everything to them on a silver platter.
And that’s just the “outreach” part!
I had to laugh when I saw this. After Lindsey Graham’s incoherent bashing of Iranian-Americans, I told my wife (who is Chinese): watch this, they are going to bash the Chinese-Americans next, then the liberal Jews, and of course blacks and hispanics.
Its a drinking game now. Take a shot.
Aren’t the Chinese kicking our asses with regard to high-speed rail?? Oh, wait a minute - I’m sorry. Railway travel is a communist idea.
Fiorino should stop while she’s behind.
To be precise…David Da-i Ho (Chinese: 何大一; born November 3, 1952) is a Taiwanese American[1][2][3][4] HIV/AIDS researcher famous for pioneering contributions to the understanding and treatment of HIV infection.[5] He is the scientific director and chief executive officer of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center and the Irene Diamond Professor at the Rockefeller University in New York.
What is this “our ideas” of which you speak Carly?
You didn’t come up with any ideas at HP. You simply flew the company into the side of mountain.
With these guys it’s like a 666 plan.
So ladies and gentlemen,
Vote for me to become president, because I know how to win friends and influence people……particularly the largest economy and most populous nation in the world.
The Chinese are extremely good at reverse engineering. So good, in fact, that they come up with their own patents and those patents are unshakeable. This ability has been critical in their economic development. The history of their telecommunications is a powerful and instructive example.
However, they still have a ways to go in terms of scientific preeminence, and discoveries. And they know it. In very specialized areas, they’re beginning to catch up. But one of the proofs that they still have a ways to go is the slow pace of scientific recognition, including Nobel Prizes. Even the Japanese, with a much smaller budget, are ahead of them, but the Japanese have had longer to reach a high level. One of the issues is that scientific research is monitored far too closely from the top (though that could be changing).
One of the things that gets overlooked is the very high level of scientific accomplishment that the U.S. has been able to manage since the 1920s thanks to large industrial endowments, and the early 30s, thanks largely to Mr. Hitler and the brain drain that went to the British and Americans, but particularly the Americans. Up until 20 years ago, both Democrats and Republicans had a high respect for science (even Reagan did, though he initiated the word games that began to undermine non-defense and non-medical scientific research). Right wing Republicans now dismiss so much of the absolutely necessary science one needs to know in this era that they are a clear threat to the U.S. position in science that we have enjoyed for decades.
Curiously, it’s the Germans who are surprising anyone who’s paying attention. Their science has recovered, largely to the Max Planck Institutes system of research development, something Americans ought to learn from.
Even the Chinese system of reverse engineering has some lessons to teach to Americans. But Americans still lead in big ideas and major research, and yes, the Chinese do steal a lot of ideas. That, of course, doesn’t justify Carly Fiorina’s silly and outdated jingoism.
Carly Fiorina has a track record of fucking up things. With that pattern of behavior, she wants to be President and attract followers???
Fiorina, Italian for toast.
Carly Is likely unaware of Chinese history and is running on stereotypes only. Except that she’s being a bigot in the process and that should by rights cost her votes.
Why do republicans (Carly isn’t alone in this) insist on being racist bigots?
