Discussion for article #230588
Now, if there is no charge here something is definitely being âfixedâ.
She probably deserved it, looking like a demon charging the bumper and underside of the tires.
Was the driver white? ergo no charges
It appears to me that the driverâs view was blocked by people who were on the hood of the vehicle. Why does no one ask why there were people on the hood of the vehicle? Is that just OK?
The victim was situated in front of the vehicle in that blind spot. I donât believe the driver can see the individual.
And then what does the crowd do? They start breaking out the windshield and attacking the car from all sides. Recalling the beating of Reginald Denny in the wake of the Rodney King brutality, it seems reasonable for the driver to react out of fear for their life.
As a driver, is it my fault that the Governor of Missouri and the DA conspired to free a killer cop for political reasons?   So I have to submit to a mob? I donât think so.
We need to get a grip. This is not the way to protest. I know that I personally wouldnât rely on the mercy of an angry crowd.
So while I wonât win any popularity contests for saying so, thereâs plenty of blame to go around for this unfortunate incident.
More video at Star Trib
You can hear the pissed off honking before running over people.
This looks like road rage.
Well, it was a white person he ran down, so heâll have more trouble than officer Wilson will ever have over his murder of Mike Brown. As a protester on the side of Brown, she will get a lot of crap directed at her from the Faux News blondes, etc.
Check out my link. The driver went around another car so that he could plow into the crowd.
No doubt. The driver plowed into these people intentionally. The second clip that plays shows this quite clearly:
The driver goes around a car and goes non stop into the crowd of people. He intended to shove his way through.
Go look at the video at the Minneapolis StarTrib linked below.
People were on the hood because the minivan Subaru Outback quite literally pulled around a stopped car to plow into the crowd rather than drive around them, which he could have done. And yeah, the protestersâall white and all very coldâdid in fact become enraged when a he decided to plow through the thickest part of the crowd and someone got hurt. Canât say as I blame them.
So i think maybe the instant victim blaming and felony exoneration based on a short clip of footage might be a bit premature in this case.
Looks like it was trying to push through the crowd and force them to clear but people climbed onto the vehicle.
You canât see clearly, but it looks like they climbed on top of the hood of the car right away at about 00:53.
Well, so was the victim, so there may yet be.
As is the instant verdict that the people climbing on and smashing the car were justified.
Put down the pitchforks, folks.
That clearly, obviously happened after the driver ran over the woman in an obviously intentional aggravated assault. This makes normal human beings upset. What your problem is we havenât determined yet.
I love it how RWNJs suddenly become full of epistemological skepticism when the evidence is overwhelmingly against a conclusion they would wish to draw. Iâll bet youâre ânot a scientist,â arenât you?
Yes, but the protester was protesting the death of a black man. Ergo, the protester was, by extension, a black man, and was automatically a threat. Donât you know ANYTHING about criminal law?
ROTFLMAO! Oh, if thatâs the BEST youâve got, youâre in for a long, LONG lifetime around here!
Lets be clear. The footage that does NOT show the beginning of the incident comes from the same station that launched #pointergate a few weeks ago. The Newspaper OTOH has surveillance footage that clearly shows the driver, pulling around another car in order to get at the crowd. The only correct response is an attempted murder indictment.
From the photos of Darren Wilson, I would say he was the one who suffered from very minor injuries. I like to see what this womanâs very minor injuries look like.
I am very sad for this country. I am also ashamed - very ashamed. What does it take for people of color to get justice in this country. We are going backwards
