Discussion: Cantor Says He'll Resign From Congress On August 18

Discussion for article #225817

Ahhhh I forgot about this slime and it is nice to wake up this morning and remember that his is one smirking, right wing, mug I won’t have to see anymore.

Lifting a verse straight out of the Wasilla Quitterbilly’s playbook: that sweet, sweet right-wing welfare gravy train’s a-waitin’ and he ain’t a-waiting even an extra month or two before he jumps into his swimming pool full of money.

EDIT: @coronakid - bad news, Kemosabe. Get used to seeing this piece of shit floating to the top of the Republican turd machine for the next couple of decades. He’s gonna be lobbying and in all the cool-kid “think” tanks for life, and probably running for office again. He’s too fucking evil and addicted to power to just go away.

Sunday shows are going to get worse, much worse; didn’t think that was possible.

"I want to make sure that the constituents in the 7th District will have a voice

If that were the case he’d stay and finish his damn term instead of retiring.

August 19 choices for Cantor: new lobbyist job, Fox News “expert”, collect huge advance on “memoirs”.

What a loser !! " I can’t be a leader so I quit ! "…Weren’t you elected to do everyday represent the people kind of stuff ? Was that kind of work tedious or were you just using this job as a springboard for higher office ? Now that you don’t have to pretend to care about The American People you can join the gravy train as a lobbyist…If they even accept losers these days…

So long, Dipshit. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out…

Just be sure he hasn’t run off with the House cafeteria silverware.

Too bad McAuliffe can’t appoint a Dem.

Had to screw the state of Virginia one last time before starting the new lobbying job. Real American values.

What a selfish drama queen! How much is that going to cost Virginians?

Taking his ball and going home. I swear, naked power worship, intellectual incoherence, and general immaturity are the hallmarks of this degenerate party.

Glad to see this warmonger out of congress. Leaving early shows how expendable he is.

McAuliffe don’t call a special election, that only favors the GOP. Yes this is a very red seat, but David Brat is the type of far right loon who has a real chance of saying something so insane he could lose the seat. Yes I know in a deep red district Brat could say something crazy and still get elected, but I would rather take the greater than 0% chance he looses in November versus the 0% chance he looses in a special election.

Datora’s right. I fully expect Kant-or the Kwitt-or to run for Senator or Governor of Virginia and he will once again get teabagged in the primary.
