Discussion: Cantor Campaign Internal Poll Showed Him Trouncing Tea Party Challenger

LOL! I love it! I cant get the picture of him yelling that at Buchanan and Elenor Clift a few times out of my mind now!

It is not likely a Dem will take this seat. But it is certain the GOP leadership in the House ā€“ what little there was ā€“ just exploded into complete irrelevance as the jockeying for position takes over. If the victor goes true to form, making the kind of crazy speeches that have gone under the radar because nobody took him seriously, this could play out in much more in the Senate races around the country, motivating Dem and Independent voters to make sure the lunatics remain bottled up in the House.

That 34-point lead in the poll was definitely reassuring. Eric Cantor would have won by the margin predicted by his poll if he had worked harder to get rid of that Annoying Orange John Boehner and become Speaker when he had the chance. The corporate kleptocrats in the Republican take care of each other and I am sure that Erick Cantor will soon be a richer man with a no-work job.

Did the pollster get the gig based on being the low bidder or loyalty to Eric? Perhaps this should be one area that the Republicans can actually find a way to embrace the SCIENCE?

Iā€™m sure someone has already mentioned a certain VA pollster who contends heā€™s unskewed.

It appears as though the GOP no longer knows how to conduct polls.

How ā€œinternalā€ was this poll. Did his wife take the poll?

Either way, bummer dude. LOL!

That may be where she got that poll data.

They needed money in exchange of your big smile and there comes 34. As a matter of fact is should have been 32, that is the figure you deserve, dear Cantor!

When all the numbers all get crunched, they will find out that it was Democratic voters crossing over in the open primary to outs Eric Cantor. Now the Democrats are paying Republican back for when they did this to Democrats in the last few elections. John Boehner will be the next one to go down.

Proving once again something that Democrats (Doormats) need to learn. The false gawd of all of this ā€œpolitical punditryā€ the almighty poll, doesnā€™t matter worth a darn,
What matters are the people who get up off of their backsides, and show up to VOTE.
34 points? Wow. If I were paying off campaign debts for this LOO-ZER, Iā€™d make darn sure the people who did that survey get paid for it not at all, or worse, dead last. x

I think there mistake was that they probably polled likely Republican voters. Wasnā€™t that an open primary? ā€¦ just saying that the Democrats may have pulled a Republican trick far better than the Republicans.

"The poll, conducted by John McLaughlin of McLaughlin & Associates between May 27 and May 28 found Cantor with 62 percent to Brat with 28 percent, according to The Washington Post on Friday. "

I suspect these guys will not be hired by any other GOP candidate. Tee hee.

The Repugnicans can deny science, history and common sense and still process oxygen. But when they arrange for their own arithmetic they have entered their terminal phase.

Very unlikely that more than trace amounts of Dems crossed over. However, youā€™ve identified what the Cantor whisper campaign will be in the next month.
