Um, it looks like it was a Toronto Police van:

That’s what I thought, when I read the headline and saw the photo.

God damn Shania really didn’t take well to folks disliking her Trump endorsement did she?!

Any word on whether the driver was wearing pants?

Can we drop the humor?
There’s at least one fatality. Probably more.
Sadly, it does not look accidental.

Agreed. This is a serious matter. As a Canadian, may I request that the headline be changed to “Canadian police” or “Toronto police”? Canada’s a noun, not an adjective. While the Toronto police are on the scene, as this happened in the north of the city, should this be an act of terrorism it becomes something the RCMP (the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, our federal police force, similar to your FBI) will take as their case. The national newspaper of record here, The Globe and Mail, has a story on the incident.

People are dead and you think it is time for jokes? JFC get a grip.

Here’s a video of the arrest. (Not mine, obviously)
I have no idea how the cop remains so cool despite the driver pulling what appears to be a gun, several times. He makes sure civilians are out of the way in case a gunfight starts, but he doesn’t fire a shot.

If he were black and it was Cleveland, he would have been shot 47 times!

There are 10 dead and more injured. The police arrested the guy alive. Alek Minassian is 25 and from Richmond Hill which is a suburb just north of Toronto. It is not considered a terrorist act at this point.

I know it wouldn’t make any difference if I was in Toronto right now, but it’s hard seeing this kind of thing happen in your home town when you are living somewhere else. I just want to go home to my friends and family and city right now.
