Discussion: Campaign-Era Comms Staffer Leaves As WH Ousts Jr Aides To Clean Up Leaks

Other staffers in the communications shop were not notified of his departure until their emails to Cheung stopped sending, Politico reported.

Loose lips sink ships!

And while it was not as obvious in the TPM piece, the Politico report reads like it’s (initial) sources for the story were ‘unauthorized’… i.e. leaks. So, the saga continues.

edited to add the ‘initial’ sources.

Is it just me or does anyone else wonder what payroll for the WH looks like? Is there some clerk over at Treasury getting real time information on when these people leave, official last day worked kind of thing? Where is all the savings on payroll going?

Or is this some kind of Survivor spinoff-The White House Season?

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders carried out Cheung’s ousting during a meeting last week. Other staffers in the communications shop were not notified of his departure until their emails to Cheung stopped sending, Politico reported.

Like Kelly said “it’s a miserable place to work”

For three full years immediately before joining TeamTrump in July-2016 Cheung was communications director of Ultimate Fighting Championship out of Las Vegas. He also repped Sharon Angle. And David Dewhurst, Lt Gov of Texas, in the aftermath of his flaming defeat in the 2012 Senate primaries. So, definitely the profile of a Trump communications staffer.

If you want to plug the leaks, tell Trump to stop inviting those Russian hookers to the White House.

Yes, I’m sure this scapegoat was definitely the source of all the leaks and not Trump himself blabbing to his billionaire ‘friends’ on the phone at night, or really blabbing everything to anyone at all who will give him the time of day.

I have a darker thought - he was picked as the scapegoat, not just because someone had to be picked, but because he’s Asian. It’s called the White House out of ideology these days.

Hmm… every time someone leaves this crew I think to myself, “How much ‘talent’ can this Administration afford to hemorage?”

It would appear that they plan to fire anyone in the communications department who speaks the truth, ever, about any subject. To stop the leaks, however, they may have to extend that policy beyond that one department.

John Barron, John Miller, and David Dennison keep getting raises.

So there were no leaks, but the ship sank anyways? That doesn’t sound right?

So now I want to know who verified their I-9s?
