Discussion: California AG To Review Planned Parenthood 'Sting' Videos

Discussion for article #238760

You know how there’s all those “open secrets” of Dick Cheney feasting on bloody, raw baby parts as part of his Satanic rituals to keep his rotting corpse reanimated?

Where do people think they come from - do they think fetuses grow on trees?

It is about time, someone is reviewing these smear campaigns.

Free speech my ass, libel and slander are not protected and that is what these videos amount to.

I hate, hate, hate, hate having to defend these repugnant “journalists”, but going after the video creator is never a good idea. The better option is for us to force the group to release all unedited video to give every quote its proper context. Then, PP needs to be fully upfront on how it properly donates the fetal tissue to the proper organizations. And teach the people who negotiate the transfers not to say stupid stuff off the cuff.

Also, maybe next time PP gets a request from a company it’s never heard of, try Googling it!

My opinion is that PP really is doing all this legally and above the board, but humans sometimes say stupid stuff when having a light conversation over lunch.

So if they engaged in fraud and/or fale reporting during the three years of setup it took them to get this meeting, they should be able to get off scot free? Sorry, no. Being able to set up an intricate web of lies is integral to their strategy; it’s why googling doesn’t always reveal that they’re fake. There has to be consequences if they did it illegally, which is highly likely.

Unfortunately the damage is probably already done. Just like Benghazi, climate-gate, the ACORN scandal, birtherism, email-gate, swift boating, death panels and all of the other right-wing fake scandals and yellow journalism you can think of, this is now thoroughly embedded within the minds of conservatives as “a thing that really happened”. The only question is how much damage Republicans are capable of causing if they can whip their stupid base up enough about it.

Can’t Planned Parenthood sue these folks for slander? Or something?

No need to worry. California AG Kamala Harris will make this all about her and not PP as she positions herself to run for Sen Boxer’s seat next year.

I bet Willie Brown misses the good old days when he was ridin’ Kamala’s sweet ass.

" Harris, a Democrat, plans to run for the U.S. Senate in 2016."

Is it just me or does the AP conveniently forget this kind of detail when it’s a Republican running for office?
It should make no different, if it is consistent and nonpartisan. Just wondering.

Up vote but remember there is always the option to push back. Brave candidates can do that.

Another episode of, what desperate, unethical goons will do to further their own agenda.

Planned Parenthood is far more than they are being painted as and as an organization they should stand up and shout that.
The constant attack on one of the smaller, percentage wise, services that PP offers proves that it isn’t really even about PP, it’s just the anti-abortion, fact smearing wackos being what they are. Nuts, hellbent on a crusade. Sound familiar?

Abortion isn’t beautiful or someone’s goal, it’s a service, a medical necessity and a life saving procedure quite often that involves a woman (possibly the man), the ‘unborn fetus’ and the Doctor. Religious wackos or misguided parties have no say in this private matter any more than the woman or Doctor could have them jailed or worse just because they don’t like what they do.

Good thing we don’t have to worry about you failing to be an asshole at some point either.

Hey, they use to be an item. Just sayin’.

Why do we let the repigs get away with fake-naming their RWAC “organizations”? As close as I can tell nobody with any medical background runs or works for this weird group.
