Discussion: Calif. Shuts GOP Out From Senate Race With 2 Dems Advancing To Runoff

Republicans have underestimated the sleeping brown giant at their peril for decades. Glad it’s finally beginning to catch up to them. We will be seeing more of this, and rightly so.

AG Harris is on her way to the U.S. Senate. In a field of 34 candidates from several parties she received 40.2% of the vote. She’ll face Sanchez who received 18.3%. I’m thrilled.

It is only fitting that retiring Senator Boxer’s seat will got to either a Democratic woman or a Democratic woman!

But Trump will continue to campaign in California to help the GOP Senate candidate, right?

At the local GOP headquarters, which I STILL cannot believe I can go in and sit down as if I’m a Republican, you need a yardstick to measure how long their faces are when they talk about this one.

I suspect Republican candidates in California would be pleased if Trump lost the map for how to get to the state. He’ll be a boat anchor to anyone in California, I’m afraid.

But what does this have to do with Trump?

Anyway, I’m glad to see that Kamala Harris has lived through being called “the best-looking Attorney General” in the country by Obama. There are those who thought she wouldn’t.

The closest GOPer candidate only garnered 9.1%. Very nice.

Under California election rules, only two candidates — the top vote-getters — advance to the November election.

Tremendous idea. If the national presidential primaries were arranged the same way, the presidential election this fall would be between Clinton and Sanders.

Okay. How doe you get into a run off when you have 42% to 18%.

Democrats kicked ass last night and as much time as Bernie spent here and as much money as he spent, he was shunned by California. He was walking neigjborhoods until the polls closed last night.
