Discussion: CA Lawmakers To Archbishop: Nix Clause About 'Gravely Evil' Gay Sex In Faculty Handbook

Discussion for article #233379

The proper response is to pull your children out of those schools and to stop working for them. Period. Candlelight vigils are just masturbation and therefore a gravely evil affront to the effort to marginalize bigotry.

Who knew that what people do in their bedrooms was considered part of their public lives? Last-gasp backlash. I’m also sure the archbishop will lead by giving his official residence over for the care of the poor and homeless.

Why the church people are worked up as to what goes on in MY bedroom is a mystery. Perhaps a dose of jealousy is the problem? Perhaps it is a guilty conscience? Perhaps it is a fetish?

It would, of course, be nice if the priests, bishops, archbishops and cardinals all lived their lives in a manner that did not contradict the doctrine of the Catholic Church.

Someday, maybe 200 years from now, Church historians will refer to this era as the “Pelvic Period” of Christianity and will shake their heads in disbelief when they describe its particulars.

Egad, why did Sarah Palin put a bulls-eye on the good Bishop’s miter? Duck, Vicar, duck!

SF Catholics are suffering under the heels of Don Cordileone’s jackboot. Apparently he hasn’t been paying due attention to his Pope. Hopefully Francis will at some point at least kick him upstairs to some obscure posting in Rome if not sending him packing to a diocese in some desolate outpost.

The statement outlines the church’s teaching that using contraception is a sin and that sex outside of marriage, whether it is in the form of adultery, masturbation, pornography or gay sex, is “gravely evil.”

Boy, are they strict.

Is it too much to ask the teachers to stop using contraception when having gay sex in public?

What if you’re tempted to commit gay adultery, but instead, you watch porno and beat off. Do you get some brownie points for that?

And very, very stupid.

The Archbishop’s comment that masturbation is gravely evil invites a list of frat humor so long that one hardly knows where to start. Looking forward to seeing what the comedy shows have to say about this.

Why not tell this free loading bigot to go to hell, forget him and go about your life as you choose?

Think about it - according to Archbishop Cordileone, everyone who’s had premarital sex is gravely evil. That’s what this guy worries about, premarital sex - apparently most of us are gravely evil on the same level as genociders and serial killers - just for hooking up or masturbating.

SO glad I don’t live in that guy’s world.

Makes priests molest the innocent, build palatial mansions, and do drugs…
