Expect Trump to be making noise soon. The new governor said just last week on local news something about working well with the president, I forget whether it was before or after he pulled nearly all the National Guard from border patrol to deploy for potential real emergencies (fire and flood). Then just a couple of days ago he announced he’s supporting Kamala Harris, someone he’s known and worked with for decades, for president.
Becerra is also a very good, very active Secretary of State and, as you may have seen, he’s brown, so there’s that.

I know the border regions are true blue, but it’s the red sinkhole of much of the rest of the state where the GOP is ensconsed that has me doubting the Texas trajectory on figthing the Great Wall of the Rio Grande.
