I used to get past call screeners on sports call in shows all the time this way. Most callers are too direct with their abuse. You need to have subtlety to get pass the three-second delay. I’d have a legitimate sounding first question to lull him into a false sense of security and then the second one would be packed with the C4, so to speak.

Like one dude. The local college team beat someone they weren’t supposed to in a football game and the host looked like he’d been celebrating. I asked some bullshit about secondary coverage that I really didn’t give a damn about and then let fly with “Jim you look like you got HAMMERED last night. Cop cars don’t have lights redder than your eyes.” Then I got cut off.

I guess I really shouldn’t be surprised that some folks really have no idea how our economy and treasure work. And I like to think that congress did and they just string along republican voters worrying them about having to pay back the debt, but I really think that some of these dumb fuck congressmen really think that if we don’t “pay off the debt” some country is going to hold a war to our head till we give them some money. What the hell happened to all the republicans that loved Raygun, bragged how he “showed” deficits didn’t matter and never batted an eye at Dubya’s deficits?

Maybe not, but it’s one of the big complaints against Obama, a big worry Republicans try to pin to Obama, and a big action item on Republican’s to do list like if they don’t fix it the country’s going to go under.
