Impressive resume notwithstanding, Butigieg seems like breath of fresh air to listen. His answers are thoughtful with an added dimension that goes beyond a good sound bite more so after listening to a lot of awful, thoughtless, incoherent and mendacious answers day in and day out since 2016!

Oops…it should be spelled Buttigieg
“Preempting”? No. Wrong word. I think you mean “previewing.”
I really like him, but he has a snowball’s chance in hell of being elected.
On electability…In June 1991, 16 months before the 1992 election, Bill Clinton was polling at less than 2% among likely Democratic candidates and his name recognition was sub-35%. He not only won but went on to two very successful terms - despite huge personal negatives and ongoing investigations throughout his presidency. So, I ask, why write off as “unelectable” a candidate like Buttigieg with an exceptionally engaging personal story and an ability to communicate in an exceptionally clear, competent, and coherent way? After the current occupant, this country should be starving for someone like him. If we can hold off on the circular firing squad (other than ejecting Bernie and his bro army, forthwith), he may well surprise us.
Hmmm, April 14th is the start of the final season of Game of Thrones, too.
Exactly right. How is this different from Amy Klobuchar’s tease of her announcement?
