Discussion: Business Breakfast Turns Hostile As GOP Rep. Fields Trump, Health Care Questions

Tar and feathers would be a nice fashion statement for this GOP Clown.

The fact that Rokita and his fellow travelers in the GOP had to learn they need to get it right does not speak too highly of their qualifications. Yet another brick in the DT “who knew it was so complicated” wall.

There are some seriously disgruntled constituents out there, and no R is capable of giving them the answers they’re looking for but sure can dish the platitudes, “strength, lead”, etc. It’s all good for Dems in 2018.

What is wrong with these Republicans who hold the Constitution sacrosanct but don’t seem to know what free speech means.

“But, we also have to be civil.

Yes, I recall all the condemnations from the GOP when Wilson shouted “you lie” at the SOTU. Trump supporters overwhelmingly want affordable heath care. About half of them like a system like Canada’s. Most of them really like Medicaid and are envious of those the are covered by it. Trump basically promised a universal care type of program that would be cheaper and cover everyone. The GOP will not have to fear the left protesting, they should fear what Trump supporters will do to them in 2018 if they pass a piece of garbage instead of a good health care bill.

pretty sure that a ‘civil’ exchange of ideas includes realizing that when people boo your dissembling that you might actually be wrong…

“prompting the congressman to ask the crowd to be civil”

There it is again. That word civil.

It means he has no ammo.

It’s like if brain-eating zombies scolded you for your uncivil behavior and said they wanted to have a dialogue to offer a better explanation for why they want to eat your brain than the previous explanation, the one that got you all up in arms and oppositional about the whole idea. If you would just calm yourself and listen with an open mind to that better explanation you’d be totally down with having your brain eaten.

Absolutely, it’s ‘all good’ now as there’s only one direction to go. Good morning.

While local Chambers are generally more civil to Republicans, they are not as Right Wing as the national Chamber.

You mean like this?

Also, they had seven %^#&&^%*% years of passing repeal bills. It’s a bit late to say they need more time to get it right.

“We need to get it right next time”???

Translation: we have to lie better next time.!
