Discussion for article #243710
"But, if a Kurd wanted to come to this country, the strongest supporters of the United States in the region that are Muslim, I'm not sure that's an appropriate thing, or an Indonesian."
The Kurds? No whey!
Well, there ya @MattinPA. I think thatâs about as close as the Republicans are gonna get to condemning the virulent anti-Muslim fear-mongering of Trump and Cruz and others that leads to firebombing of mosques. No profiles in courage there.
whatâs disappointing is that after the first âdenunciationsâ of Donnie Dipstick for advocating this the conversation is now becoming âwell maybe we should do it a littleââŚ
the window has been opened and it will soon have mainstream acceptance⌠witness Loretta Sanchez (D)
Iâm convinced Jeb Bush is impotent in many, many ways.
No âblanketâ policy? Are you sure about that, Uber-Religionists? You sure you donât want to give a blanket contaminated with Ebola or some other God-loving disease?
Wait a minute. I havenât been paying much attention. Has Pataki quit yet?
What he really wanted to say, of course, but was counseled by his advisers not to, was âor a Saudiâ. Because the Bushes love them some Saudi Muslims coming into the country with suitcases full of money for their failing businesses and campaigns.
Nope. He is still in there bleeding money he doesnât have.
He probably wishes he were, considering how embarrassing, political liabilities both of his offspring have turned out to be.
They can read poll numbers like anybody elseâŚthey are well aware that the majority of their party wants to ban all Muslims from this country.
âBush said the best solutions for refugees is to not leave their homeland.â
My goodness, as hard as it is to believe, Jeb is just as stupid as his brother. It was probably best for the Jews to stay in Nazi Germany, too.
Iâm sorry, isnât this the same asshole that thought we should only let in Christian Syrians not more than a few weeks ago? When you only let in Christian Syrians, lemme see, who does that tend to eliminate I wonder???
Fuck Jeb! Bush!!!
To me, he always looks like a deer caught in the headlights, right before a mack truck comes barreling into him.
Iâm just going to say it again with apologies.
If these guys think taking policy positions half as crazy as Trumpâs are going to win them many votes, then theyâre twice as crazy as Trump.
Values are like virginity, either you have it or you donât. Canât half-ass your way through this.
âWe need safe havens inside of Syria,â he said. âThe best refugee
solution is to make sure they donât leave, to give them safe harbor and
build a Sunni-led force in Syria to mobilize support with the Arab world
to take out ISIS.â
Uh, JEB? These âsafe havensâ youâre yammeriing on about? Do you think Bashar al-Assad is gonna go along with that program?
can we hear from Little Miss Muffet and the spider?
Bush said the best solutions for refugees is to not leave their homeland.
Good lord this man is an idiot.
I wish he would explain just how, exactly, he would create âsafe zonesâ inside a country wrenching itself through a civil war, with a lot of external forces helping (or hindering). Also, he should try to keep up with the news, since his other suggestions are already being taken care of.
ISIS/ISIL/Daesh, or what you choose to call it - just for giggles, I like to refer to them as the former officer corps of Saddamâs Army - has lost 25% of the territory it captured last year. The Iragi Army is in control of 75% of Ramadi, and Deash was kicked out of Sanjar city last week. Easy to take territory, hard to hold on to. Mosel will be free of the soon.
This is another case of a c-in-c wanna be talking his strategy which happens to be what our president is already doing.
And he still comes back to âit would be better if they stayed in their own countryâ. And died. This man is not the voice of freedom.
