Politicians always try to win points buttering up the generic “American”. But you should be able to get agreement across the entire spectrum for the exact statement: “a large chunk of Americans are stupid”. We just disagree which chunk that is.

The media does not appear to even focus on why he sad it and I tend to agree with him on so many levels. The voters put Bush in office for the first time in 2004 even though they knew he lied us into a war. The voters keep putting the same folks on office that caused the Great Recession in the first place. Conservative workers keep voting for the politicians who tel them they should have the "right to work for less’ in many states. Too many people are terribly uninformed and are pretty ignorant or stupid.
