Wondering if the news of Zinkeā€™s likely illegal purge of top officials - most disproportionately targeting Native Americans, might have given him reason to be uncomfortable serving under this administration and this administrator.

Yeah, my first thought was ā€œanother incompetent discovers heā€™s out of his depth in winningā€, then I read about the guyā€™s bona fides. Now it looks like ā€œanother good guy discovers that he doesnā€™t want to get any deeper into the shitā€. I really hope itā€™s the latter.

As an American Indian, this is cause for great concern. I find Zinke a white man who is totally untrustworthy under any circumstances.

The administration has made no secret around efforts to diminish Native American sovereignty. Their land rights, guaranteed by multiple treaties and agreements, encompasses vast mineral resources. Also, their casinos have made a huge impact on Nevada, Jersey, and other markets traditionally controlled by the ā€œright peopleā€. Until control is re-established in Cuba, weā€™ll see what happens.
