Bundy: Feds Have No Jurisdiction Over Federal Lands!

Scalia: He has got a valid and legal point there.
Clarence Thomas: I concur, the land belongs to the people.
NRA: If you have guns, you can take over anything you want.

I hope Bundy’s attorneys are getting their fees up front.

On a more serious note, what the hell else are they going to claim? It’s not like they can say the feds got the wrong guy, or it’s just a big misunderstanding.

They want to get their “supporters” riled up. This is going nowhere. Bundy and his grumpy band of malcontents should decorate their cells, it is going to be home for a very long time.

Is this guy dumber than a bag of rocks, or what?

I can’t even imagine that any judge would even entertain that sort of ‘defense’. Looking forward to seeing how long these jackasses get to be guests of the state, or I guess in this case, the feds.

“Bundy’s defense is expected to argue in court that Malheur was not federal land.”

Defense will also argue that Bundy was aboard Flight MH370 at the time of the takeover, that SCOTUS is composed of shape-shifting reptoids from Alpha Draconis, and that Hobby Lobby actually sells tasteful décor.

Oh, please do proceed, Mr. Bundy. OMG.

The prosecution will present their case.
The defense will present their case.
The judge will likely say, “You know - you guys are right. The U.S. government doesn’t actually exist, and has no authority over you, any land, or anything else. Therefore, you could not possibly have committed any crimes. Go, and enjoy the rest of your life.”

Yeah, that’ll happen.

“Once statehood occurred for Oregon, Congress lost the right to own the land inside the state,”

Brilliant!

Why do we need laws and judges when there are brilliant Cornstitutional scholars like the Bundy Haploids walking among us?

On the other hand these ignorant f’cks not only are welfare parasites they’re wasting other taxpayer’s money.

I hear Guantanamo has some vacancies, let’s give 'em a Cuban vacation!

this could actually be part of a brilliant legal strategy
if their attorneys go along with it then I suppose part of the appeal, after they’re convicted, will be poor legal advice and representation for allowing the strategy

Well, I’m on the edge of my seat just wondering what Rep. Michelle Fiore will say. Tell us, Michelle, does the federal government have jurisdiction over federal property?

Lauren Fox is waiting at the Tweet well for the tiniest drop of Fiore goodness.

Nawwww

They will claim that the judge, lawyers for the plaintiffs and jury either did not understand their Cornshitooshun or are completely un-Corshitooshinul to begin with.

One cannot have a logical conversation with three year olds.

In case anyone wondered, I checked and these guys claim to be real lawyers with all the trimmings—law school, done cases, one was even an assistant district attorney for three years. All I can say is I’ve seen some real, live lawyers advance some very thin arguments as if they thought they were going to be taken seriously, but this is the thinnest by far. It’s like Rube Goldberg well somebody anyway said, “No matter how thin you slice it, it’s still baloney.”
