Discussion for article #235207
Cliven Bundy sounds like an Edwardian euphemism for keister.
âWe look forward to seeing you all in Bunkerville!!â
Bunkerville? No shit?!
I still wish the Federal Government had responded to his lawbreaking by setting up a couple of snipers and shooting the whole herd so that he then has to deal with the clean upâŚor used a drone to drop coyote musk into the dead center of the herd so as to cause a stampede.
Given that itâs the home base for his cattle operations, shit is a veritable certainty.
Thatâs too bad. Sounds like itâs BYOM (bring your own meth). Fucking rednecks.
The Bundy Family: âPutting the âfreeâ in freeloadingâ
'âBring the cows, thereâs plenty of free grazing!â
Many years ago, I used to work for the BLM as an environmental specialist. Aside from impounding a few cattle and assessing a fine; there is virtually NO chance that a non-compliant cattle rancher will face any serious, if any at all, prosecution for damage to public lands. Thereâs a good reason itâs often referred to as the Bureau of Livestock and Mining. Itâs always been this way. Cliven Bundy is just a notorious example. The fact is, only a very small percentage of beef for consumption comes from public rangelands. Basically, we taxpayers are augmenting a âway of lifeâ. The way Iâve always looked at it, itâs almost like the government paying, or giving tax-breaks, to certain people to trap beaver, while wearing deerskins and coonskin caps. In short, itâs ridiculous in the 21st century.
Cliven Bundy⌠the real face of the Welfare Queen⌠with boots and a 10 oz hatâŚ
or some other body part.
As in:
âMabel, my dear, please donât wriggle like that; youâre contorting my Cliven Bundy.â Just lie there, close your eyes and think of England."
This will go down on the minus side for the Obama presidency.
He should have gone in there with whatever it took to reclaim the land that was bought and paid for by the American taxpayerâŚand put Cliven Bundy in jail for resisting the federal governmentâs legitimate enforcement of the law. IMO
The Repubs want to âgiveâ all the federal land back to the states to control (or in reality, the states would sell it to whoever they want to). Can you imagine how Bundy will be treated when this land is private? http://indefinitelywild.gizmodo.com/republican-senators-just-voted-to-sell-off-your-nationa-1696862450
Maybe? this would be wrong, but I would rather that the innocent cattle be left alone and to have gone ahead and shot the militia jerks.
No way do the feds not know the names and numbers of those involved, should have arrested them at some later date.
Bundy should still be placed under arrest for subversion and vandalism this also should happen to 47 republican senators.
These people are just laughing at the whole country, pretend they are immigrants or black and do the right thing.
Yeah, this sort of thing happens every now and again. Itâs kabuki. It generally doesnât go anywhere because states or private individuals, if allowed to take over, would charge fair market value for exploitation rights. This would hit ranchers and minerals extractors, and lately alternative power interests in the pocketbook big-time. Hunters and fisherman, for the most part conservatives, hunters anyway, are dead against it for obvious reasons. Land, especially arid and semi arid land, is also costly to manage. States, like Arizona are broke as it is. My state doesnât have the money to manage state lands, or any other state assets for that matter, properly. Thereâs other reasons why this kind of legislation is doomed from the start, but it does look good to the hillbilly voter bloc.
This sends horrifying chills up my spine. Made worse by listening to Edward Snowden interviewed by John Oliver in Russia saying that LIBERTY is the excuse for any action to protect it.
Libertarians are technically egocentricâno one but them counts. Thatâs why I got a kick out of seeing Snowden get grim faced when Oliver showed him the interviews with men-and-women-in-the-street who had absolutely no idea who he was, or else mixed him up with Assange.
Why is this criminal not in jail yet.
Grifters gotta grift. Will Fox be lovingly covering this racist clownâs latest event like they did his first one?
Dear Mr. President: I hope youâll finally make the decision to light up their birthday cake. If you donât, youâll be encouraging every tin horn traitor nationwide to emulate their hero.
Never mind the women, this is the Bundy ranch, where men are men and the sheep are nervous.
