Brownback wants the money, but doesn’t want to expand Medi-caid. Typical Republican.

In the end, Kansas will be forced to pass a law requiring all residents of the state to be wealthy. Everyone else will be deported to Nebraska.

That’s okay! All that needs to happen is that Nebraska passes itself it’s own countervailing Send Them Bluebirds Back Packin, under which every Kansan who enters Nebraska looking to relocate to escape The Long-Distance Video Coma Whisperer is given a weapon and some ammo, taken to the state border, aimed straight at Topeka and told they gonna have fight their way forward else they stand there and get taken out from behind; oh, and a hearty Good Luck!

This all will result in universal reciprocity, something that was discussed at great length at the Constitutional Conventions and in the Federalist Papers, and eventually resolved itself in the Constitution, which, critically, expresses American citizenship and the rights and privileges that inhere with it in terms of country to citizen, citizen to country, and not citizen to state then state to country. It’s why they gave control over taxing authority and the size and landscape of the national government’s budget and to the House, not the frickin’ Senate, which was mostly intended to be a sop to out of state visitors and otherwise just ensure the president didn’t appoint a bunch of drunken cronies and swindlers to government agency posts.

With universal reciprocity, citizen forced out of Kansas could have their rights restored in another state and then return to Kansas with the demand that Kansas honor the promises of the US of A to Nebraskans, or Utah folks, or whoever. It’s pretty much what the country’s judges thought this was about until a few years ago when Bush’s whackadoodles took over the SCOTUS.

Not gonna do it. Wouldn’t be prudent. Conservative principles say the poor should get sick and die.

Hmm, one can only conclude that Kansans are getting what they voted for, and it serves them right.
