Discussion for article #236277
close roughly half the gab
My suggestion- reverse every single one of Brownback’s disastrous policies and then raise taxes until everything gets fixed.
Of course, none of his ideas include rolling back those tax cuts. Heaven forbid the rich in Kansas have to pay more.
He tried blaming Obama for the state’s problems, and that didn’t work, so now he has to actually allow some ideas to surface as opposed to floating some proposals.
Well, yeh: see, Brownback’s demonstrating in the accompanying photo just how much of the gab he hopes to close.
(And the guy in the right background is thinking, how did I ever get tangled up with this a-hole?)
How about trying prayer? I hear that always works.
At the present time he’s proposing raising taxes on the lower 99% and people are unhappy about that. Stupid fuckers shouldn’t have voted for him again.
Well done, Kansas! Oh, well done, for reelecting this guy! You deserve it, so yay for you!
Now clap harder, you fuckers! Do you want Tinkerbell to die?
Well, they could reverse some of their tax cuts.
He should recommend more tax cuts. Hasn’t he always said that tax cuts are the best way to increase revenue?
This is what happens when you send an arsonist—Brownback—to put out the fire that he started on purpose.
The smoldering ruin that is Kansas will not recover for decades—because Kansans will continue to elect right-wing assgaskets like Brownback, despite the knowledge that his conservative policies have all but destroyed the entire state.
Conservatives are wedded to their failed and fraudulent ideology, and no amount of truth and no list of facts will deter them in their slavish devotion to an ideology and an economic model that have ruined their state and made them the national laughingstock.
If you want to see what the GOP has in store for America if they get control of the White House and Congress, just look at Kansas—and shudder with fear.
I’ll see your Kansas and raise you a Wisconsin.
Kansans got nothin’ on Wisconsinites as to how to completely screw up an economy. They just got a better start.
So now they’re “unhappy” about it. They can just fold their arms and stamp their feet. They definitely out-stoopided the goobers here in NC.
Proving as always that the Curve of Laffer turns always towards desperation and failure.
But as I have noted before, the biggest benefit of all of this is that Brownback’s unexpected “victory” last fall, left HIM in the position of having to try and find solutions to the mess he created. And better yet, gave him a total of eight years to do so…leaving his supporters precious little room to claim he just didn’t have enough time.
Schadenfreude…always so much fun to watch.
Why hasn’t Dan Savage done with the name “Brownback” what he did with “Santorum?” Sheeesh, what’s up, Dan??
“We’ve been floating different ideas,” Brownback told the Kansas newspaper. “I don’t think that it’s useful in the process right now to be putting out grand plans. This is really the time that the legislature’s really got to come around with what they decide.”
Translation: I don’t have a freaking clue what to do, because we are taking 60 crap-tons/day of shit from constituents about the budget cuts already, and the only thing that improves the budget situation at all is tax increases. Why has Jesus forsaken me? Did I not bring about Blessed Tax Cuts? I’m passing the buck to the legislature.
Amen!
Lots of ideas, all bad.
