Discussion: Brokaw Pushes Back On Allegations: They Were Like A ‘Drive By Shooting’

Character assassination by failed journalist and full-time witchy person. In this case, Brokaw, the victim here, tried and failed to kiss someone on 2 occasions. For the bitchy witches, there is no question - the only solution is BURN HIM FOR BEING A MISOGYNISTIC PERSON.

On the other hand, this could be viewed as #metoooverthetop. #metoobacklash is coming.

This is bullshit character assassination.

Dear Tom,

Your privilege is showing. Please reserve the term “drive-by shooting” for actual drive-by shootings.

“As I got up to leave I may have leaned over for a perfunctory goodnight kiss but my memory is that it happened at the door”

That’s where you lost me, Tom. Perfunctory? As in you expected her to kiss you back?

I think the “me too” movement died with the Al Franken debacle. Women like this who make unsubstantiated allegations about something that might have happened 25 years ago are just kicking the corpse of this already dead movement. There’s no way Brokaw can prove he didn’t do any of this, and that’s what makes this a witch hunt.

Another guilty until proven innocent.
Al Franken should still be a Senator and it’s going to take #MEPissedoff a long time to get over it

Oh, but you forgot the “anonymous” other “allegation” that Brokaw invited a woman to his office to discuss her career, which she did not accept. So, not only was that a non-assault, it was a non-assault which did not occur.

Assassination of prominent people can be a fun activity if you are a loser who failed in your career, as both these women are.

What was her goal? Hard to believe it wasn’t much more Look At Me than Me:Too.”

From that statement alone I say go fuck yourself Tom.

Am I the only one who thinks this stuff is getting way out of hand and starting to resemble the “recovered memory” fiascos of the 1980s?

I mean - a kiss! More than twenty years ago! Is there no statute of limitations on a kiss?

This is light-years away from what Cosby did, but it all seems to get lumped together. Time out, folks.

And it is being conflated with Matt Lauer. Who got naked, and had a trick device to lock women in his room so that he could assault them. Now, Matt probably should be tried for rape. Because locking people in your room is pretty serious. It might be kidnapping even.

But discussing that kind of stuff (serious evil stuff) with a kiss THAT DID NOT HAPPEN is seriously fucked up. On the part of the #metoowitches.

Bill Maher has been making an issue out of it. It is too absolute . Like executing people for armed bank robbery with murder and executing people for shoplifting
Both Crimes No?

In this case, there is another Anonymous source. Since when in the US are anonymous sources given credence? A person is allowed to confront their accusers. This is trial and execution in the public space without the evidence being questioned.

This case in particular is fucking stupid and way over the top. Failed losers resurrecting their failed careers by destroying their betters.

Nick, dear, your misogyny is showing again.

I always give my colleagues “perfunctory goodnight kisses.” Doesn’t everyone?

All the time, actually. Have you been asleep for the past fifty years? This is not a court of law; perhaps you should learn to tell the difference?

The men seem to be out in full outrage today. I still clearly remember being a new college grad cornered by a boss 40 years ago and forcibly kissed and fondled. Will go to my grave despising him. I quit too, which is always a good way to sabotage a career in a competitive field. I wish he were still alive to out.

Mrs Von Holst leaned over me once for a perfunctory goodnight kiss on the nose. And then, she bit it. True story. I still feel weirdly aroused when I think about it.

You think wrong. I like Franken but when there are eight women you have to wonder. On the other hand, he deserved a hearing, as does any accused. Gillibrand over stepped here and hurt the movement.
Brokaw’s pushback seems too incredible. I’m believing her. For sticking to the facts. Brokaw-“me thinks thou doest protest too much”.

No one denies that bad things happen. What is OUTRAGEOUS is the anonymous allegations of bullshit non-events which are elevated into capital crimes by bitchy witches like Gillibrand. She thinks she will be POTUS one day. She might be President of the Secaucus garden club, but she will never be POTUS. Never.

Keep conflating non-kisses with multiple forcible rape. It’s going to produce a whole bunch of men who call ALL #metoo persons bitchy witches.

Show me the rape kit, or don’t bring the allegation.
