Good for Ms Thorp…
Unless she’s a receptionist for Christian Louboutin - and even then - this is so ridiculous. Would they require the same of men?
I know there’s no common sense here, but Et Tu, Britain?
Misogyny on parade. Drive a stiletto heel through the boss’s forehead.
The homonculus for the feet and toes are represented next to the groin and upper leg area in the brain. Surely not a coincidence why there are so many foot fetishes.
I read more in depth reports on this yesterday. At the time of the incident, the woman pointed out to the supervisor sending her home that they did not make the men who were performing in the same role wear high heels, and the supervisor laughed in the woman’s face. Note also that although the role was labeled receptionist, it required walking all day, escorting clients to offices.
I’m a not particularly enlightened male, but, I have to ask: where do these people come from, and what the fuck is wrong with them?
Heels don’t look safe or comfortable to me, they are entirely unrelated to almost all job positions, and it doesn’t take a heel to make a shoe acceptable attire for the workplace – even for a position where you interact frequently with clients and the public.
Well yeah. Do you know how hard it is to find decent looking heels in men’s sizes?
Talk about discrimination!
It took a petition to make this guy see the light??? I would be hesitant to invest in a company run by a dingbat of that caliber. But the question is why he was so interested in her legs, which is another reason not to invest in that company or even patronize it.
