Discussion for article #233416
Pitiful.
Surprised she didnât save this gem for her ghost-written autobioâŚ
I am sorry but thisnis to news and is a waste of space here.
The ânewsâ here is another NBC âstarâ jamming his no talent kid into a high-paid, glam media jobâŚ
I am highly insulted that TPM would waste space publishing a story which is such a non-story, Sheâs his daughter for kreistâs sake, why wouldnât she be anxious for him to return. Pathetic
Yes, but I was surprised (a) he has a child this old and (b) his âchildâ enjoys a âsuccessfulâ âactingâ âcareerâ like Tweety and Russertâs kids. Come on, Mrs. Greenspan, not too late to get an HBO actor or a Congressional correspondent bun in that old oven.
And the rest of his family will appear âŚ
Icky, pooey.
He wonât be back on broadcast news. Heâll have to try to make do with his reduced salary of $5 million. Sheâs living in fantasy Peter Pan land.
Man youâre cruel! The âpoorâ child girl is âsufferingâ. Why donât we start a candlelight vigil in Central Park tonight. Never mind the cold. Brian said heâd drive down from New Canaan.
"The outreach from people we love â family, friends â and âŚstrangers, just reaching out ⌠".
Just STFU!!
Did you think he was younger?
I guess the baby face and the GED lured me down the garden path like a NBC executiveâŚStrange, huh, how these cheap grifters, self-described exceptionalists, always jam the kids into another no-work, on-camera job like their own.
I donât understand why this article is here. More importantly, I donât understand why anyone would trash a woman for supporting her father. The person she knows as âdadâ is probably completely removed from the Brian Williams we see on TV or the Brian Williams he is with his friends and colleagues. She supports her dad, so what? The fact that this is newsworthy says more about those trashing her and their relationships than it does about the Williamsâ.
Iâm not trashing the young woman. Iâm trashing the corrupt system that allows NBC celebrities to gift their children with exceptional, high-paid, celebrity jobs as with Tweetyâs children and Russertâs. How many other set-ups like this exist?
There is some rewarding nepotism in play here. Heâs been on NBC forever, she gets picked to play Peter Pan on NBC and he does a segment on the upcoming Peter Pan show on his nightly news. The family loves each other no doubt, but sheâs not going to reveal her inner turmoil in a puff piece. Also, most times when his name comes up her name as star of Girls. Itâs cozy all around.
I smell a father/daughter bookâŚattention Asian ghost writers!
I know Luke Russert, who is Chris Matthewsâ kid?
He brags about them occasionallyâŚA son is an âactorâ, had a bit part in "American HustleââŚa daughter in some Silicon Valley typeâŚsomething in the way Tweety brags telegraphs his excessive involvement likely thru connected network suitsâŚ
Oh, nobody i would recognize then. Well at least they arenât Kardashian types. Just wondering.
This is just squeezing the turnip for every last drop of blood. Brian Williams has been bashed, and rightly so, but there are dimes to be made talking to the grieving family.
The story is always that Williams was removed from the air due to the one lie regarding his Iraq trip. This is an incomplete view of the why. Yes, that apparently was the impetus but once the digging began, it didnât take long to find a pattern and a frequent one at that.
Williams daughter sights honesty and integrity as the reasons he should be reconsidered and that is straight from bizarro, opposite world. What part of lack of integrity doesnât she get that everyone else does.
Defending her Father is natural but defending his dishonesty and calling it honest dishonesty isnât doing her or her Father any good.
Right now, hanging Brian Williams up by his high heels would be the best example that could be made to possibly enlighten our shallow media to the consequences of toying with their careers by playing entertainers rather than doing their jobs.
Promote Rachel and lets be happy I say.
