Breitbart ought to take a page out of its coverage of Michael Brown’s shooting: Assume, whatever the evidence, that law enforcement is behaving properly and that the target deserves to be punished. For some reason, in this case, the Brietbart folks seem not to be following that principle.

- make up stuff and throw red meat to base
- sell ads for gold and other items you can manipulate readers to buy
- don’t pay, or just cheat on, taxes; wait for inevitable audit

Despite all the right-wing claims to the contrary, no one has ever been able to produce a scintilla of evidence to show that the IRS under the Obama administration has ever targeted anyone or any business for partisan political reasons.
Breitbart and Cruz just want to keep beating that dead horse.

I was once audited by New York State Sales Tax… I ended up paying back taxes of just under $1000.00 for the incorrect way we had billed some mileage reimbursements to clients.The auditor was nice and professional until he was about to walk out the door…He then asked me if I thought any of my competitors might not be paying their sales taxes properly and if I gave him names he would audit them…

Conservatives are special. They are the real Americans and deserve welfare, sympathy, privileges and rights others don’t have. They should be allowed to commit crimes, take bribes, lie and throw their wives under the bus because they are religulous, god fearing and conservative. The rest of us are not worthy.

The company doesn’t seem to mind being at the center of the story.
It would be disturbing to think he’s using his audit as a way to gain favor with readers before the autumn news season.
Maybe they’re having an audit, maybe they’re not. The reasons Breitbart gives for his audit are unproven.
