I wonder if this is the pivotal year? If they take the Senate and if SCOTUS kills Obamacare, it may end up doing to the whole country what Brownback did to Kansas - wake people up enough to throw the bums out.

I’m so sick of these Republican idiots and the judges who support them. Just remember that dead people don’t vote. Many of the old, sick, and ignorant people without healthcare are people who vote for Republicans. Just look at the GOP demagraphics. These people are on their way out, one way or another!

You do realize that a federal appeals court decided to reconsider the ruling by that three-judge panel? The new hearing is scheduled for Dec. 17th.
Why report on court rulings when you dont even explain it completely? It seems the author of this article is only interested in dramatic headlines.

I would just like to point out how high the stakes are in 2016. We already have a Supreme Court that is dominated by conservative ideologues. We know that. And we know that there is a significant likelihood that the next president will appoint one or two more justices - an opportunity to bring sanity back to the court for Dems, or an opportunity for conservatives to place a lock on the court for a generation.
But what many don’t understand is that Federal judges like this, and the intermediary courts along the chain up to the SCOTUS are also appointed by presidents. If a Republican President is elected, these lower level judges will undo laws like the ACA before it even gets to the SCOTUS.

but the Democratic authors roundly insist that was always their intention and say the law as a whole makes that clear
So then clearly the law is safe as one of the required judges to rule against the law is an original originalist.
