Brownback hasn’t exactly endeared himself to voters, has he?
Just found out that our county in SE Michigan is going to be hit with a new property tax to pay for road repairs. The republican-controlled legislature somehow didn’t find the time to figure out a way to fund this.
After Snyder took over in the Great Debacle of 2010, they also voted to tax pensions. That went over well.
edit:
Actually, that’s not accurate. The opinion is very short and states that the court doesn’t need to address that question. So it looks like it’s up to Kobach to sue the state Democratic Party if he wants to force a Dem on the ballot.
edit 2: Oops, you’re not even talking about what I thought you were. This non-threadable comment system tricked me!
Dear Kansas…and the GOPig Cult,
America is becoming majority-minority and there’s nothing you can do about it. Using the politics of fear and division you only attract the angry conservative white voters that will become a minority, thus ensuring the loss of power and status you crave. It may be a decade or so but you will end up in the dustbin of history.
And the majority of Americans can’t wait. Good work…keep it up!
“Liberal activist Supreme Court justices have decided that if you voted in the Democratic Primary on August 5th, your vote does not matter, your voice does not matter, and you have no say in who should be on the ballot on Election Day,” Roberts said.
Like he gives a rats ass if Dems will cry over this.
I agree, and I wish the national Dems would make a nice ad pointing to Kansas and say, “this is what your country would look like on Republican control”
even if he caucuses with the Dems the Dems have to hold 50 seats… if they only hold 49 then that would mean the Rep would hold 50 and he could choose to caucus with whichever side will cut him the best deal.
if he DID choose to caucus with the Dems to make it a 50-50 split the Dems would control because the VP casts a vote on all ties… don’t forget Angus King and Bernie Sanders are also IND and can choose who to caucus with…
