Good. Lets be realistic tho…he doesn’t care and will continue to try to block this. But it’s good to keep winning on the merits.

Has Joe Arpaio been moonlighting as Governor of Maine?

What a POS. Deplorable. Maybe he could be Dolt 45’s next AG

why don’t they just hold LePage personally in contempt, and order him to pay for from his own funds, the medical costs of those denied coverage. Make it self executing on any assets that he has…

The court won’t actually have thwarted him until the expansion happens. Preferably with the governor in jail on civil contempt charges.

Yes, Yes and No, because he’s not a lawyer. He’s an accountant who ran a local department store. He is a typical Trump loving meathead, but is too much of a bumkin to get noticed by Trump.

This is good news for the state’s poor, but not settled yet. People might die before January because of this fool’s obstruction.

I think the Maine legislature should vote to strip LePage of his pension, healthcare and other benefits – including the title of Governor after this fall’s election.

No surprise … this is the twisted narrowminded hate monger who stands for the denial of Narcan… says “let them die” … and has on multiple occasions made sweeping racist statements about the population involved with drugs.

Can’t believe an impeachment against this guy failed? What were they thinking? If those legislators didn’t see abuse of power only a couple of years ago, imagine what they have to do to tell themselves they still don’t see it now. Unreal.

The guy only has how many months in office? Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan…Boom…Freedom from this fucker. Choose wisely Mainers. Otherwise, your next Governor might pull the same shit and lie to your face today that they woundn’t think of it.

This man only won because there were three candidates running and while the opposition got more votes than he did, he individually got more votes than the other two did individually. There is something desperately wrong with minority ruling the state and now the nation. That needs to be rectified somehow. He is also (one of many) of the cruelty that passes for policy of what currently embodies the Republican Party. I hope that party dies just like the Whigs did - the sooner the better so that a reasonable party driven to help all Americans, regardless of race and creed and rise up from its ashes. As an independent, who has voted for republicans in the past, there is only one party to vote for now and it is the Democrats who actually want to govern the nation as a democracy. However, having only one party is disastrous in the long run (see Mexico and the PRI).

they got expansion on the 2017 ballot and saw it pass with nearly 60 percent of voters in favor — making the state the first in the nation to expand Medicaid by popular vote.

…The Republican running to succeed LePage has promised to continue fighting against Medicaid expansion

You have a clear choice, Maine. One of the candidates is saying to your faces that he doesn’t give a fuck what you want.

Or has LaPage been moonlighting as the Sheriff of Maricopa County? What color prison garb do prisoners wear in Maine?

Sadly, the GOP candidate (Shawn Moody) to replace LePage will be the same kind of Governor LePage was (LePage’s wife endorsed Moody) and is polling dead even with the Democrat.

Wake up, Maine. Please.

So how many Mainers has LePage killed before their time?

Thanks for covering this @aliceoll
LePage’s popularity continues to decline and both D’s and R’s in the legislature have basically written him off. Most of the lawmaking revolves around overriding his vetoes and LePage spends more and more of his time fighting cases in court arguing that he doesn’t need to do anything to execute laws that have been duly enacted.
The dumbest thing about this is that there actually is more than enough money in the budget – aside from the moronic argument that it would be difficult to come up with 10 cents for every 90 cents from Washington to pay for a program that reduces expenses in other areas and boosts the economy.

Effing dolt.

Example # 543,677,443,154 why all Republicans need to be voted out of office. They are unwilling and unable to govern, and they do not believe in the rule of law.

Why do you suggest that the GOP thinks?
