Discussion: Brain Scientist Arrested For Allegedly Pointing AR-15 At Women In Phoenix Airport

That is a great image for a hospital. One of its department heads walks around with an assault rifle like some sort of short dicked dufus.

Walking proud with an assault rifle slung over his shoulder through a crowded airport and a kid reaches up and pulls the trigger. Completely predictable. Future flights routed through San Diego, Vegas or Denver, thank you very much.

So this is considered Disorderly Conduct? Seriously? Had he been of Middle Eastern descent I suspect the charge would be different, if he survived the encounter at all.

As someone mentioned, this is opening the door and inviting terrorism in. All they need to do is walk in and start shooting. Up until the first shot, no one would even notice them.

How long do you think he would have been “allowed” to Open-Carry if he had been carrying an AK, had been dressed in “traditional” Arabic clothing, and was of Semitic parentage?
They would still be counting the bullet holes in his carcass…

Imagine how quickly he would have been stopped were he a black man, and a high school graduate!

Stroke? It looks like half his face is paralyzed. He should see a neur… oh.

I’ll leave the standard ‘dumbfucks with guns’ rants out of this.

“Brain scientist?” FFS. Embarrassing.

Projectiles. How do they work?

To be honest, I’m sort of stunned that this is even a crime in Arizona.

Wait, it’s LEGAL to carry an assault rifle in an airport?

If you’re white, sure.

Welcome to the NRAmerica.

Was he lucky that the woman wasn’t also armed and, fearing for her life, pulled out a gun and shot him. Not trying to be funny, but that’s where we’re headed.

How can people with children comfortably live in a state like this, where anybody who can get a gun (seemingly just about anyone with enough cash to buy one in these 2nd amendment paradises), can walk around with assault weapons slung over their shoulder and in many of the same states “stand your ground”? Don’t these parents vote fer crissakes? WTF?
I have an idea though, gun control and safety advocates should use the craziness to their advantage. Hoist these assholes on their own petards. The idea is to hire a large group of African American men to open carry in all of the businesses and public spaces of the more affluent neighborhoods in these states. See how quickly these laws are scrapped.

What he looks like is a GOTP politician. He’s got the sneer down and everything!

And wearing a Hoodie!

And put me in the “anti” column! Take it to Brooklyn, DNC!
Police said the rifle’s muzzle pointed toward a woman and her daughter, who reported fearing for their safety.
Sounds to me that the woman and her daughter both had the SYG right to kill him before he killed them.
Steinmetz had brought a weapon into the airport before.
Repeated exhibitions of serious insecurity issues with total lack of mental stability.
Steinmetz is the program director of neuroengineering at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
CLEARLY not mentally competent to be a part of any modern society. Obviously a danger to his co-workers.

When I saw brain scientist instead of neurologist, I thought my Uncle Skeeter might have wrote the article.

“Police said Steinmetz was observed buying a cup of coffee in the airport before walking toward Terminal 4’s B gates, where he removed an AR-15 that was slung over his shoulder.”

I don’t understand the reporting. Was the “brain scientist” allowed to enter the secure part of the airport with a loaded long gun? “Walking toward Terminal 4’s B gates?”
