This doesn’t make any sense. The boy’s father Siraj Wahhaj, was wanted in connection with the abduction of his son.

How can a sheriff not obtain a search warrant in a kidnapping case? That doesn’t add up, even in rural New Mexico where law enforcement has a history of taking a decidedly hands-off approach to most everything.
