I think a show trial exposing what happened, for all to see, would be nice. Televised on CNN like the Watergate hearings. Move to try them as adults. Hand out ten year sentences, no chance at parole, with a lifetime registration as perps of a hate crime. Make an example of them. Give parents of other teens something to point at while talking to their children, icons of idiocy not to be emulated, at the peril of a lengthy prison sentence.

And again, I can see a scenario where quite a few large foreign companies either walk away from investing in this country or cut back dramatically between the hate crimes and the lack of trade deals. The feral trumpers will hail this as a good thing.

Yes, they were also practicing freedom of religion. It wasn’t assault. It was Christians exercising the religious freedom to proactively physically shun a Muslim.

My initial reaction was “even Boston?” – but remembered that there was a Cam Neely charity event at the Garden last weekend that took a pretty bad turn. The Morning DJs on KISS 108 said it reminded them of the days of the Boston busing riots
