They reportedly added that though there âmay beâ cages, the people inside them are not treated like animals.
Theyâre not treating people like animals, theyâre treating âillegalsâ like animals. Itâs sooooo much easier to commit atrocities when you dehumanize âpeopleâ.
I wonder if the federal employees think theyâre only doing their jobs when they look through the cage bars at the children. Do they go to comfort the truly small ones and figure the 3-5 year olds just need to cry it out? Perhaps they think if it werenât for their dogged humanism someone worse, who doesnât care as much, would be in their place?

The word cage makes us uncomfortable, but the actual cages? Theyâre cool.
Branding issue: Conservatives donât understand cruelty until it happens to them and theirs, recommend emphasizing the immorality of the our actions at the border and donât let up.
Itâs also unfortunate that Conservatives donât recognize weâre also creating a future and uncomfortably geologically close version of ISIS for the future.
