Discussion: Boehner Won't Call On NRCC To Stop Fundraising Off Benghazi

Focus on getting at the ignorant rubes Social Security checks. There, fixed it for you John Boy.

I think the parents of one of those killed spoke out the last time the GOP waived the Benghazi flag. They were not pleased about their loved one’s death being exploited for political gain and were quite upset about it.

These are not the Benghazidroids you’re looking for.

Love to see them called as a witness.

Hashtag #### Michele Obama.

Ambassador Stevens’s father begged the politicians in Washington not to politicize his son’s death. Not only has the GOP politicized it, they are standing on the Ambassador’s grave with their hand out for money. These people make me sick.

The father of Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya who was killed in the attack in Benghazi last month, said his son’s death shouldn’t be politicized in the presidential campaign.

“It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue,” Jan Stevens, 77, said in a telephone interview from his home in Loomis, California, as he prepares for a memorial service for his son next week.

I hear little voices crying in the GOTP wilderness…

Hear their pain

Trust that those families are at the very bottom of GOP’s list…if on their list at all…

Comparing the Benghazi investigation to Beirut helps put things in perspective and shows how ridiculous the GOP is acting. The Reagan Administration’s very clear Lebanon policy failure, refusing to recognize a civil war and so clearly failing to protect our US Embassy, led to much greater loss of life over a protracted multi-incident timeline. For those of you who missed the 1980s ::

On 18 April 1983 an Islamic Jihad car bomb destroyed the US Embassy killing 63 (of which 17 were Americans).

Then we lost 241 (220 US Marines and 18 Navy, 3 soldiers ) US troops in Beirut, Lebanon on October 23, 1983 under Ronal Reagan.

On 20 September 1984 in Beirut, Lebanon Hezbollah car bombed the US embassy again, this time the annex, as a bipartisan commission was studying the previous bombing, killing 24.

On 12 December, 1983 in Kuwait City, Kuwait, an al-Dawa truck bomb outside the US Embassy took the lives of 6 US Citizens.

Hashtag your dumb ass.

“When you’ve got nothin’ [else], you’ve got nothin’ to lose.”

You go with the caucus you have, not the caucus you wish you have."

I sense this could become a running punchline for this thread.

Epistemologically, are there also “unknown knowns”?

But an NRCC spokesperson declared, “This has nothing to do with 2012 campaign, so his comment is moot. Politics, as in life, goes on; so, perhaps, Mr. Stevens should also get with it. After all, it’s already 2014. There’s no reward in grieving forever.”

Republicans have never been known to pass up opportunities to politically profit from faux crises, fantasy conspiracies, and pseudo-scandals based on supposition, innuendo, and rumor mill.
