Discussion: Boehner Taps Trey Gowdy To Lead Special Benghazi Committee

Maybe. Haha. Who cares…let him have his day in the sun. It also puts a well placed target on his back which I’m sure he’ll earn, all in good time. This thing has gotten so out of control its almost laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Upon being chosen to chair the new committee, Gowdy tweeted, “We’re so excited about this that we’ve got a Boehner!”

No Dem should serve on the committee. Let the RWNJs show the American people what is important to the repubs. It certainly is not the American people.

Let them also mention the Iraq war in general predicated on intentional lies that cost thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi lives.

Is it just me, or does Gowdy look like South Park’s Butters?

Is it just me, or does Rep. Gowdy bear a striking resemblance to Draco Malfoy? Wonder if he’s got the sniveling, sneering, spoiled-brat disposition to match?

That rat actually looks like a fucking rat.

So the party of fiscal “responsibility” will waste several more millions of dollars on this committee. While at the same time cutting security funding for the very people they are upset got killed. Hypocrisy thy name is Republican.

Nothing quite like the aroma of desperation to start one’s week!

There is nothing for Democrats to gain by participating in this kangaroo court. I hope Rep. Pelosi refuses to appoint any Democrats, and have it be seen as another Republican sponsored waste of time and taxpayer money.

John Boehner taking the pulse of the American people at the local mortuary. “the American people want answers, accountability, and justice”.

Good old Trey. He’s the one that trotted out a bill to authorize the house or senate to sue the president if he wasn’t performing up to snuff. He’s also another extreme pro-lifer and climate change denier who has committed himself to the repeal of the ACA. At least we know this investigation will be unbiased.

Did Boner tap that? That’s more like Lindsey Graham territory…

He doesn’t really seem like Lindsey’s type. But to each his own, I guess.

My, oh my, oh my, oh my. The comments here seem to ignore the political basis on which the administration handled this clusterfark. Here’s a link describing exactly why it is a “big effing deal”:

Oh, and if anybody wants to pooh-pooh the article because it’s posted on American Spectator, well, then that just goes to show that you’re only interested in ideology rather than the truth. Happy reading!

Yeah, Trey chooses to ignore the “hockey stick” lie. And that’s a bad thing?

Gowdy seems to be an actual pinhead in this photo. Is it just the photo? Or my sensory distortion?

Once again the GOP chooses to fritter away tax payer money rather than do their freaking jobs.

Good Lord, there is so much stupid in that article that it’s impossible to find a starting place. This entire BENGHAZIIII conspiracy theory is based on the moronic notion that somehow the administration thought that if the people knew it was a terrorist attack that they’d not vote for the guy that killed OBL but would instead vote for a guy who made a fool of himself on his one foreign policy tour? What sense does that make? Do Republicans really think the American people are so stupid and indecisive that an attack in a part of the world that’s been embroiled in terrorism is somehow so shocking as to change one’s vote?
What’s worse is the sort of cognitive dissonance that allows you to believe that President Obama was easily reelected despite your sides nonstop screaming the Benghazi attacks were planned terrorist attacks as opposed to spontaneous terrorist attacks. Do you REALLY believe anyone who isn’t a Republican cares whether the attacks were planned or spontaneous? Do you really think in a country that sees at least one mass shooting a week that somehow people were going to get hot and bothered over an attack that occurred on the other side of the planet and resulted in the deaths of less than the number of people that die on a really good day in Chicago?
Also, I’m absolutely blown away by the fact that someone who posts on a site called Talking Points Memo is so completely clueless to the existence of talking points memos.

He looks like he needs some exposure to the sun. This anemic wisp of a vampire only feeds at night.
