I think that Scalise needs to go. Anyone who speaks at a KKK rally should not be a leader in congress. Democrats should get up and walk out of any session of congress as long as Scalise has a leader position.

Not to worry. More will come to light and Boehner will have to force Scalise from power posn or be occupied with this for the next two years. The latter of which, when you consider the Benghazi witch hunt, seems appropriate.

The Teahadists are already calling Scalise a Boehner lackey and are lining up to use this to remove Boehner’s Speaker gavel.
I’m sure he’s hoping to put this thing to bed before Monday when everyone goes back to work. It’ll be interesting to see if the media allows him to get away with it or if this becomes the topic of conversation next week. If it’s the latter I think the GOP will be forced to cut bait. After watching a segment just now on The Reid Report, it sounds like the drip, drip, drip has only just begun.

To be clear and fair, it’s not the mere act of speaking before this racist hate-group that he’s being condemned for. It’s the fact that he went there and gave them an messy Atwaterian handjob. Had he gone there and told them all to fuck both themselves and their economic-policies-as-covert-racism code-talk deep in the ass with the closest splintery rake handle, I think we’d probably be applauding him for being brave enough to stand up for what’s right.
Instead, he went and paid lip-service to policies that he and everyone else in the world knows…but not everyone will admit…are deliberately and carefully designed to produce disparate impacts on minorities and immigrants in order to maintain white privilege and advantage and further our decent into plutocracy. Frankly, I don’t give a fuck where they spew that dog-whistle code-speak shit: they deserve to be condemned for it whether it’s in front of one of these lunatic fringe racist hate groups or on a street corner soap box.
