Discussion for article #221993

Well, hey. Even Clive Bundy is in favor of immigration reform.

Maybe Clive can lead the Republican House to a vote on immigration.

“We get elected to solve problems…” Did he really say that? When their admitted agenda is to oppose the President, repeal the ACA, and prevent bills from being passed in Congress, how can he possibly say this with a straight face?

I know, right?
I had to go back and forth several times to make sure this was BOEHNER saying this. BOEHNER mocking someone not wanting to do anything. BOEHNER saying how some in his party shy away from stuff. BOEHNER saying his party is taking the path of least resistance.
BOEHNER.

I think Boehner needs to be checked to see if he has multiple personalities. Because from what he’s saying, you’d never know HE was a willing participant in all this too.

As far as I can tell the agenda of the House is to do nothing at all.

He will be clarifying his comments later today.

He needs to be a leader and bring the Bill to the floor. Get some ba…s man!

Boehner: What? Who? Me? No, it’s everyone ELSE that’s obfuscating, delaying and misleading, stopping the House from doing anything productive.

Congresssman, you’ve been the Speaker for three years now and you are JUST getting surprised that Teabaggers don’t want to DO anything?

Do you REALLY want us to believe you’ve never taken a good look around? Is that some kind of Oompa-Looma trait?

You know, “waterworks” Boner really shouldn’t be miming any sobbing. Just saying.

I wonder if he was drinking again.

Earmarks were a great way to lure legislators out of the path of least resistance. It’s a real shame they were eliminated.

yeah well, I don’t see him bringing it to a vote in the House so he should stfu until he actually does something.

You kind of get the feeling that Pope Francis has put the fear of God into Boehner of late. Maybe he’s just been drinking harder than usual since Francis rebuffed the Republicans for their stand in approval of income equality?

I suppose John may have become so drunk that he’s forgotten that he’s a conservative Republican now and is channeling his progressive Democratic roots as a Catholic? Expect a lot of other fallen away Reagan Democrats to do the same as they begin to face their mortality in coming years.

Poor John relives a moment from his childhood when Daddy came to visit him late at night…shiver

The irony is strong in this one.

Boehner the Incompetent… What a piece of work! Boehner – and Boehner alone – is the reason immigration reform is stalled in the House. All he has to do is put the bill on the floor. And guess what would happen? It would pass. Period. I am sick of him playing the victim and trying to shift blame. The votes are there.

Bottom line is, the House Republicans and the entire lot of them aren’t about to do anything progressive to help solve our immigration issues.
They blame Obama and each other but what they don’t do is bring a bill up for a vote then move on from there.
Gotta start somewhere.

The Repubs, including Boehner, just pay lip service to immigration reform. They’ll talk a lot about it but they will never do anything about it.
