Discussion for article #241268

Trying to stay relevant and get some camera time for one last month, eh Boehner?

If the Repugs want to assign blame for Benghazi, they can start here:

Another Washingtonian that’s out of f%^&'s to give.

He wouldn’t have made this statement a week ago, admit it…

Jeez, maybe he should resign over that statement.

Where’s your job, Boner?

This is why Nancy Pelosi couldn’t say that she would miss him.

These Republicans run all over Washington stepping on their own dicks and couldn’t run a hot dog stand. Time to throw the bums out.

He only said that after McCarthy spilled the beans on the true purpose of the continued hunt for Hillary’s scalp. The Pubs knew after even a cursory review of the other CIA, FBI, State reviews that Hillary couldn’t been directly blamed. Had Howdy Doody Gowdy finshed his committee’s review even after the 1st year, I’d agree with Boner. Yet, it’s continuation as prefaced by McCathy’s amazing slip proves they don’t need facts in their attempt to derail Hillary.

Funny too that Boehner, erh Boner, never came out with a strong statement during the whole time the committee was empaneled yet did so only after the potential future speaker stepped on his di*k!

I say the crying, soon-to-be-former Speaker…doth protest to much, to quote the Bard!

C’mon TPM … ‘blistering statement’? Really?

It’s Boehner’s typical banal politi-speak.

Time to throw the bums out. Looks like McCarthy is out, unless he gets a pass from the Freedom Caucus. Lots of luck with that, McCarthy.

This statement may just get him that pass…

The FACT, Mr. Boehner, is that you have the truth and you just do not like it. You have all the facts and you are unwilling to accept that your party is just looking for someone to put the blame on for your own party’s incompetence and political idiocy. Your party is on a witch hunt for Hilary Clinton’s scalp, and you are going to allow it to continue to waste millions of dollars on it because you cannot stop it now. Your party created the monstrosity that is running Congress now, even though you are in the majority you cannot even control the minority within your caucus which is a collection of loose-lipped, arrogant, dangerous lunatics who understand nothing about governance, only blood letting and hostage taking. You helped create this and it will haunt your legacy and your nation for the rest of your life. Congratulations on such a success, of which this investigative committee is merely one part. You should be ashamed!

After making one statement of truth, the Repubs are back to telling lies big time!!!

I know it’s the kind of thing spellcheck doesn’t catch but “bluster” is spelled with a “u,” not an “i”.

And the disingenuous pile on continues. And here I thought that maybe the Pope’s tongue lashing had really gotten to the Washington Orangeskin.

The father of Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya who was murdered in a terrorist attack in Benghazi last month, has said it would be ‘abhorrent’ to turn his son’s death into political fodder in the battle for the White House.

‘It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue,’ said Jan Stevens, 77. 'The security matters are being adequately investigated.
‘We don’t pretend to be experts in security. It has to be objectively examined. That’s where it belongs. It does not belong in the campaign arena.’

When will the GOP Congress launch investigations into how Cheney manufactured evidence to support the illegal invasion of Iraq and make the world the much more dangerous place it is today?

Oh right…never.

Get to the bottom of what? We’ve had 5 investigations into this: longer than 9/11 and Watergate. Tens of millions of dollars already spent; $4 million on this sixth committee alone. Last one was signed off by Republicans on that committee.

Funny how I do not hear from the families of the useful…er, victims of the attacks, clamoring to “get to the bottom of this.”
