Discussion: Bobby Jindal Blasts Muslim 'No-Go Zones' After Fox News Apology

Discussion for article #232207

This guy is an elected governor of a US state and he doesn’t think to verify something said on Fox News prior to repeating it? Sounds just like my redneck relatives. Louisiana is getting what it deserves putting a man like this in office.

Actual “no-go zones” established by non-Muslim religious groups in the United States (among dozens):

Hayden Lake, ID (White Supremacist Christians)

Hilldale, UT (Polygamous Mormons)

Kiryas Joel, NY (Ultraorthodox Jews)

Lancaster County, PA (Amish [Anabaptists])

Actual “no go zones” established by Muslims in America: zero.

Foster, a British reporter, said he’d never heard of any area where the
Muslim population discouraged non-Muslims from entering and asked Jindal
to name the neighborhoods he was referring to.

Ah, the totally unfair question – “can you be specific?” Leave it to a Brit to use it to devastating effect. It’s not used here often enough.

Stupid is as stupid does.

That Brit will never make it as a moderator for an American presidential debate that’s for sure!

While Jindal stuck to his guns on the existence of “no-go” zones, he did recant his claim that Republicans can’t be the stupid party.

Your so correct. Reporters in America are nothing but chickens when it comes to hard questions.

Don’t worry … the next Republican president will deport Mad Max right after he abolishes the ACA

You wish.

So this minor governor from a minor state goes overseas to lecture them on the “reality” of Muslim terrorism in their country. I’m sure they were so impressed. The arrogance of this is quite astounding.

Without any proof or evidence, Robby Bobby Booby makes a charge solely to play the “fear card.” It’s a shameful attempt to catapult him into higher approval ratings for a possible Presidential candidacy. And, it will fail.

Clown car material for sure.

Stop referring to Emerson as a terrorism expert. He clearly isn’t.

Bobby is crazy - actually surprised that he is not getting heat for this direct quote from one of the Wolf Blitzer interviews:

"anybody who thinks you should be killed for drawing a cartoon … obviously … is a terrorist … is somebody we need to hunt down … is somebody we need to get rid of in our society…"

Oh, yeah, he was just kind of winging it in an interview - and yes, he probably meant that he was speaking about the people who followed through on their beliefs about cartoons & actually did the killing … but to so glibly spout off crap like this - crap that if taken literally means we should hunt down and eliminate everybody who ‘thinks’ this way about cartoons … well that is a bit unhinged.

Sorry, it looks like the  wink icon at the end of my post didn’t load.

Not to long ago there was a bit on both TPM and Salon that was written by a person that claimed to gave suffered in reverse what went on here. She claimed she was approached often while traveling in Europe by people wanting to know why “America was going crazy” and referenced their concern with several social issues in our politics.

The bit was crap. Complete crap. And if you want to see where she was really coming from and what really concerns folks of other countries all you need do is look a Jindal. Here he is telling a British citizen about Great Britain ( I am sure Jindal’s travels in England are scant l ) and when called down on factual error tries to drag “the Left” into it and then equivocates like a 5 year old. What an empty intellect.

That folks…that right there is what the “Ugly American” is. That person with only an American experience but sure he knows what the world is about. Just like the author of the lame Salon bit, his remarks reek of insular ignorance and a depth of experience limited to American only.

After living 40 years or more out of the USA I can say that Mr. Jindal was lucky he was insulting a British Citizen. I imagine Foster was frothing inside but being who he is he kept it civil. He must have thought ( in fact I am sure he did ) Jindal a rank fool and probably could not fathom how he came to the position he is in.

If you want to know why the World has objections to the American its right above this post, in a microcosm, in that video. God it is so embarrassing.
